One problem is that some posters report issues and failures and then fail to report remedies or subsequent interactions with dealers. An AI LLM will be biased by this one-sided information and, it seems, that people believe such models without recourse to searching and interpreting the...
No I don't know why the charging failed; I treated it as a software glitch. I don't know at what voltage the car will fail to unlock and power up. See below and the post about my experience today and my second failure experience. I recommend carrying a battery booster, as you can also help ICE...
The car should keep the 12V battery topped up but the circuit failed to work on those two occasions. However the rest of the time it has worked.
My 23plate (I assume yours is the same?) 12V battery usually runs between 12.1V and 12.5V when not charging.
I have had the 12V battery go below 12V on 2 occasions in the 32 months I've had my Trophy. The first time at about 6 months and the 12V battery recovered when I con ected the car to my granny charger.
The second time at 26 months was more challenging and, although the car unlocked and powered...
I assume you accepted the T&Cs on the login page and used the same credentials as you used when you last logged in.
The next stage would be to delete the Cache and try again. The delete the Storage and try again. After that comes the reload
As an aside are you entering your password manually...
For info, can you please post what info version you have.
Did you scroll to the bottom of the page? (The displayed text does not end properly so there must be more.)
My info version is old so any suggestion is a guess. Have you looked at the SatNav settings?
@aardvark5, as far as I know the Octopus App does not know the charge level if the MG's battery so cannot stop charging when the MG's battery reaches the level specified in the Octopus App.
Have you checked what the car's charging limit is set to? If it is set to 80% then setting the Octopus...
@Yabusa, the problem is that the rules can change over time with software upgrades so what I can tell you relates to my MY2022 Trophy that has had no non-Service Campaign/Recall updates, as far as I know. But see later.
If I go to MG Pilot and select Alert only for Forward Collision I get the...
I thought the first instance the presenter gave has been debunked and that somewhere on this forum is the report on the second instance that said the road assistance firm paid for the repairs. Thus accepting liability for the crash if that is true.
Re the Auto/Manual debate. I believe that a new driver passing the UK driving test in an MG4 will only hold a licence to drive an automatic (transmission or gearbox) car and not one requiring manual gear change. Thus, to all intents and purposes, the MG4 is an automatic car.
For clarity, in the MG4 you do not need to be in 'Ready' mode just powered up to charge the 12V battery from the HV battery. (The car drops out of 'Ready' mode once you leave the seat but it stays powered up until you power it down from the info screen or you lock the car.)
EDIT: Must check, it...
@MikeG, you can switch on/off the speed sign detection, although the default seems to be on for some people. If you select speed limit control via MG Pilot then you have a choice of Manual or Intelligent. With Manual you control the speed setting using the lefthand steering wheel centre button...
In sorry I was wrong about your version number so before I answer can you please say what you want out of recognising speed signs. Note that my 2023 MG4 Trophy is not very good at this, often detecting 20mph signs from side roads as you drive on the main 30mph. There is a setting in MG Pilot...
