Tuareg, you are a lucky guy. Others may not be that lucky.

Aah. That explains it. Never use AA for music in the car. And Navi voice is plain silly in the Netherlands since navi does not support Dutch.

    MG4 Software Update Thread

This car is only error free if all components are installed correctly and systems are properly calibrated. The large number of variables in place here easily leads to the conclusion that the MG4 is not error free. Apart from that, it still does not comply with EU regulations.

    Charging my first EV MG4

Don't overestimate regen. It really depend on the trips you make. As an example, 38% in town and 60 - 80 kmh roads, rest is highway mostly at 100kmh, in3 two driving and 330 km total I usually regen 3-4 kWh. Only during the warmer periods of the year I charge up to 80%. During the rest of the...

    MG4 Software Update Thread

R46 was indeed more stable. But it depends on the definition of severe. After R63, AA via cable sometimes does not show up. It may be a sequence issue cause reconnecting the cable helped. And after switching to the MG infotainment sometimes AA does not reappear (greyed out). I did all of sudden...

    LKA operation guide

This effectively disables (the display of) AA, which is what I meant.

    LKA operation guide

True. But software companies share roadmaps with their customers. And this one has most definite been on the map. So MG knew, probably even before they introduced R59. They had enough time to reprogram a button for allowing access to AC settings or LKA in AA mode. They did not.

    Indeed.

    LKA operation guide

Me too. If you wish to disable it in the dropdown menu and you use AA, this menu is no longer available unless you disable AA.

    LKA operation guide

In fact, with r63 MG made it even more difficult if you need proper navi (via AA or AC).

    LKA operation guide

No. Because NCAP is not making legislations. It is, in Europe at least, made mandatory by Brussels.

    ACC cutting out intermittently

No. Mine is r63. But we both have the latest LKA update. Thing is: even if a real tree would be in front of your nose, ACC would support you to reduce speed and come to a standstill. But the car should not be disable ACC.

    ACC cutting out intermittently

I would say it shares hardware and parts of the software. But LKA, particularly the most sophisticated mode ELK, also uses input from other sensored systems (such as at the side and rear).

EU MG4 (all variants) - Service campaign SC077 is out, improving lane assist performance

Siteguru, when I first disable sound AND next also LKA and then activate TJA, there is no beep at all. Also, when setup this way the car does not steer back when I go back one lane with the indicator on. What did you do to get the beep? Deliberately steer across the lane marker?

    ACC cutting out intermittently

It started on mine also after the lka update (and anything that came with it). I do not consider it as coincidental. It happens when I get squeezed between two lorries (3 lanes, me in the middle). It also happened when I had a light flick at the wheel while closing in to the lane marker, and...
