Not sure I understand your question, Ann. Could you rephrase please?
Don't think I'm professional enough for that, Big Ears. What I've done is ok for me, but it's something you do to suit your requirements.
In case anyone is interested I've searched the online manual for sections that would be of practical use and printed them out. I've stapled them into four sections, pages 2 to 16, 195 to 208, 209 to 236, and 237 to 215. There may be a few odd pages omitted, such as blanks or anything irrelevant...
Just to update my last. Shut down all audible sound warnings, but the screeching bird set off again. the only difference this time was I had the satnav on and it indicated a 30mph camera warning set on top of a set of lights and asked me if I wanted to accept.
Not knowing what to do I left it on...
Hi Clive. Just had another look at the Chatter Guys video. I'll try their remedy next time I'm in the car, I think I was entering a built up/school area/shopping area when the chirping started, so could be the cause. I'll update when I've tried it.
Cheers
Collected the car on Wednesday...everything fine, well please etc. Yesterday and today had sessions of loud chirping for about one and half minutes. Twenty minutes later, same again. Has anyone found a cure for this?
Hi Clive. You can update me on your list, I'm now a fully fledged MG3 owner. Collected the Trophy model yesterday off a very nice young lady at Perrys of Preston. So far, brilliant, can't fault it. Well pleased.
Hi Clive. Re the servicing costs and the mention of automatics.. my Hyundai Bayon has a DCT gearbox and the total second year service was £249. These prices for MG seem to be a rip off. Could it be that the reason for the initial low purchase price is that they get it back on the servicing?
Now that the membership of our MG3 hybrid club is increasing at a fair old trot I thought a note to newcomers to the MG marque might be appropriate. The MG, (Morris Garages), dates back to 1924 and this year celebrates its centenary. The following link will give you all the ins and outs of this...
Believe me Clive, the heated steering wheel is something you will gloat over all winter. I've had one in my Bayon since 2021. That, with the seated seats, was the clincher in my choice. And don't forget, in your new MG3, you can turn all this on from the comfort of your cozy living room! How...
I've tried to get details and prices of service plans, or even service costs individually, but no luck. Tried Googling MG3Hybrid service costs. Again, no results. My car is still waiting delivery date, so don't need the information this minute, just curious. Already had one fright with my...
Has anyone any experience of this of this plan, which is mentioned on the MG Motors web site. As my driving is very limited nowadays, probably in the region of 4 to 5 thousand miles tops, I would be interested to know how much savings are to be had by opting for this. Also, has anyone solved the...
Thanks Ann. As a gentleman I won't ask your age, but I think being on the wrong side of 80 has everything to do with the price I'm paying. Oh well, just have to cough up the extra £230 and hope the MG3 is worth it.
This is just a quick note to say that Nicky is an excellent advert for Perry's of Preston. Patient, very professional and honest, and gave me a really good deal on the MG Trophy. Thanks Nicky

Hello Ann. I can assure you this is no typing error. I tried all the comparison sites, including those not listed by them. Direct line was the cheapest. Some insurers won't insure men over a certain age even though I have no convictions of any sort. The best I can get when I change to the MG...
Morning MG Clive. Your insurance quotes are very low, could I ask who you are insured with? My renewal on my Hyndai Bayon was £ 831, up from last year's £ 415, and on enquiring about the MG3 Hybrid they quoted £ 1056! 13+ years no claims and driving for 55 years.
In addition to my previous query, does the MG3 reverse work like a normal auto? In that I don't need to use the gas pedal, just keep my foot on the brake while reversing.
I know what you mean, Pam24. I've been used to driving a CVT auto box which automatically holds on a hill. My present car, Hyundai Bayon, uses a DCT auto box which doesn't immediately hold and I need to use the handbrake. Some quite hairy moments till I got used to it.

Do any owners know if the Hybrid auto creeps when the brake is released? This is a useful benefit of 'normal' auto boxes in slow moving traffic, and a great asset when reversing. On another note, I've been reading about dash cams...has any owner got a preference 'make' to suit the mg3?
