Hello Ann. The only loud, unexplained noise I've experienced is one I described in a previous post, #6 I think. Not as bad as yours, though. Anyway, give this a try...go into MG Pilot and turn off all the alarms. If that silences the racket, turn them back on one at a time to see if you can...

MG recommend particular types of coolant and screen washer fluid in their manual, but Halfords don't recommend Glycol (OAT) coolant for the MG3 Hybrid, and I can't find anything about 'Original MG Motor screen washer fluid. Comments please.

I was ready to argue that keeping the air con on constantly ramps up the fuel use, but I've just read up on the RAC website and they endorse what you say. So thanks for that advice. aitch
