What I don't really understand is why the dealer who had your car to sort out charging issues didn't test it before handing back. Also, it's not like it's the first time they have tried to fix it. That's the bit I'd be most frustrated with I think.

Really hope you get this sorted, I’m going to ask MG not to update anything when it goes in for service, it’s working fine now and don’t want to risk that changing. I can live with R40 and it’s quirks, I won’t get modules update either unless that invalidates warranty and will check it charges...

I assumed these devices were fairly common and used by many MG4 owners but that’s seems to not be the case. The P3 looks great but over my budget considering how often I would need to use it (mainly while rapid charging) so the search continues. Please let me know if you find something similar...

100% agree, I think the light offers nothing, I just find it annoying because it offers nothing to me and will be removed or covered up.

Bugs me also, when I change the bulbs to LED I'm going to see if I can either remove or just put some tape on it to block the light
