The problem is this is just guess work as MG themselves have contradicted their own manual. We really need clarification from MG

Completely agree, I will continue to charge to 80% unless I need the extra range when will charge to 100% and let it balance. However, there must be someone who can confirm at MG, maybe @Miles Roberts CG can help Cheers

I don't believe anyone has said you should ignore the message, the grey area is the manual states we need to run the car down to 10% and charge up to 100% once every 3-6 months. What's not clear if this applies to both battery types.

I think this really needs clarifying by MG for the two different battery types. VW recommended keeping the battery between 20-80% for the ID range. Confused now :)

Can a hole be added for charging cable so we can connect to carplay ?
