Do you buy the car for the 5-10% of the time you need it for a longer journey, or the 90-95% of the time you dont and only travel locally. We made that mistake with our ZS TLR!
Just calculate the payback period, for us solar and batteries, plus the orientation of our rook is a no go. Now if we were 20 years younger it would be very different story. The EV changer alone will take a few years to payback, but we bought it for convenience.
Sorry for the late reply John. dangerous only in the way that no one wants to wait days for the network provider to attend and replace a fuse. Better to gat a 100 A cartridge fitted from the outset.
Solar to me looks like it's being slightly over sold. Checking out the Loop energy app before you take the plunge. Projected saves for us in July last was £5/month and around 80p in a typical Winter month. So at 66 my kids may benefit !

I've left a dongle plugged in to our MG ZS TLR since June last (23) [9 months]. Works great with Car Scanner and with auto off, no sign of battery drain.
