Did you buy your EV to Save The Planet?

The poverty pack MG4 51 was our first factory EV, I also have a Blade, commercially factory built in a Getz 2010 body, but the MG4 is just so much better. The '74 VW Kombi did around 500kms on 50 ltrs LPG, so it was cheap to run and a lot of fun to drive, so it will return to the road as an EV...

    New food waste collection

With an introduction to MG like that, I understand why you chose a different manufacturer .... even the poverty pack MG4 51 would do that in 2 stops, but more comfy 3 stops .... 680kms, 230kms per charge, would allow for 110km/h (70mph), maybe 9 hrs max ..... the 10 tonne motorhome would do that...

Not so great news for Tesla

Deep burns to the back of the hand and you won't be holding anything for quite some time ..... the skin is thicker on the palm of the hand for a reason .... better to use an infra red heat gun and measure spots across the tyre, that will tell you if the tyre is under inflated or over inflated...

:oops:Why? To use another members lines ..... Carting around a petrol powered genset is the technology Toyota used with the Prius, a great idea back in 2004, but 22 yrs later, seriously dated .... and adding a turbo to increase the fuel usage??? At the risk of repeating myself ..... whyo_O I...

Poll: Why did you go EV?

The real reason was I had already driven many kms in the ex taxi Prius and it proved the electric side was more than capable, I also bought a second hand DIY plug in hybrid Prius and although it doesn't have the plug in pack anymore, we still drive that a lot. It was off the road, I always...

Never tried drinking it ... do you still sneeze or feel like a red hot poker was shoved up each nostril ...... although that could be heating the metal straw causing that, not quite as bad as using the lighter to heat the paper ones though, they are really hard on moustache ..... T1 Terry

Beside the Toyota, you have narrowed your possibilities down to almost zero ;) T1 Terry Trying to picture the small electric motor spinning the diesel over till it fired up, it would need to incorporate decompression and fuel control to limit injection to after TDC to ensure it didn't...

Are we watching an empire collapse in real time?

This one just about seals it, we aren't watching an empire collapse, we are watching the emperor hollow it out until it implodes T1 Terry

Mine don't do that .... maybe a case of too much information  The thing is, put the council in a scale a step above the women's aux at school and maybe hovering around the level of office social club .... they at least have other people's money to play with ..... This helps to understand...

The Wollongong city council installed a rubbish sorting and recycling line at the big land fill site rubbish tip. They also installed a methane extraction pump that fuelled electrical generator that powered the site .... one of the govt pilot programs ..... That meant, all the rubbish sorting...

The hook bit on the arm that releases from the fob, goes in that small slot in the lock cover, the key can be difficult if you have arthritic fingers, but there is a key head looking device that you can get that slots over the stubby key to give better grip to turn it, so that hanging on the key...

Replacement 12V auxiliary battery for MGS5

Considered an anti theft strategy back in the Wollongong NSW area, keys in the ignition and door unlocked ...... like they would take your car away and burn it for free ..... you had to pay good money for that sort of service if you didn't want an insurance investigation ..... ;) :D T1 Terry

That sounds like I have the latest software upgrades then, it will do the slight tug to the left, then beep and return to where it should, just to p*ss me off on the freeway, like it was bored or something ..... I was always turning it off, now I don't bother, just tell it to not drive like the...
