    Should I get an Xpower?

I would make it clear to the dealer that you are well aware of the vibration issues and that you'd be expecting one without this 'characteristic' - be interesting to see if the salesman admits hearing about the issue but at least you'll have made them aware.

    Front Detection/Anti collision

No it doesn't - you need to go to the setting for this each time and either turn off or set to Alert only. Part of my annoying but necessary pre-flight routine.

    Should I get an Xpower?

Don't want to derail the thread either but just think more clarity, depth and stereo separation. Much needed to cover up all the rattle and creaks :ROFLMAO:

    Should I get an Xpower?

After a shaky start to X-Power ownership a year ago (brake module failure at 300 miles, months with dealer trying to sort the vibrations), 14k miles in and we are still enjoying it. All the software and 'safety' feature issues you'll be aware of from your SE ownership. As others have said...

    MG4 X Power Vibe/Hum 65 to 75mph

General consensus is that it was fixed on cars manufactured UK summer 2024 onwards although I'm unsure if this is definitive. Problem could be that they may be selling stock manufactured before this and then it's a total lottery. Starting point would be to get the date of manufacture from the...

    MG4 Undertray dip/bulge

Yes - I have a good rapport with the MG master-tech at the dealer - we're on first name terms due to the amount of time I've had to spend there. He instantly knew what I meant by this description!

    MG4 Undertray dip/bulge

Yes ours had (purchased in March 24 but car built in Aug 23) - asked for the 'bodge' bracket to be fitted at one of our numerous warranty visits - was fitted without argument in September

    Cars you’ve smoked ?

Speaking of M2s, they have pretty similar performance stats to our machines, but had one in front of me in a 30 zone coming into a national speed zone. Heard him drop a couple of gears just before the NSL sign so thought game-on. I think he was expecting to see me as a dot in his mirror - I...

    MG4 X-Power Orders & Delivery

Enjoy - that's cracking value for money!

    One Pedal Driving

I would power down the car then remove the negative from the 12V battery, wait a few mins and reconnect. If that doesn't solve it, will be a trip to the dealer.

1st service due soon - MG Assist now an extra?

So for reference, Hendy Poole finally got back - £155 for the first service but they are also going to install R63 (I had to use the key words HAVC inconsistent and wi-fi hotspot to get it under a warranty claim) & the updated LKA & FDR (SC077). The call centre advisor had no clue about the...

    Xpower as a hot hatch

This was originally one of their demonstrators - I drove it and it had chronic vibrations - probably why the owner they sold it brought it back after very few miles!

    MG4 Xpower times vs battery

In cold temps, our xpower is noticeably down on grunt when battery is stone cold - after a few miles, once there is some heat in the battery, normal brutal service is resumed.

Regen Increases Tyre Wear....or does it?

X-Power only has regen braking from the rear motor - none from the front motor.

Regen Increases Tyre Wear....or does it?

If you are needing to slow down then if this is not done by regen braking, it would need to be completed via regular friction braking so at best, you may be transferring some of the wear to the front tyres but overall, the wear across the whole set of tyres would be the same, Shirley? Our...

    MG4 X Power Vibe/Hum 65 to 75mph

Brilliant news and what we all (well most) believed all along - why go to the trouble of developing and manufacturing these parts/kit if it 'didn't work' as MG UK claimed! Weirdly, now ours has hit 13k miles, the vibration has virtually gone, even without having to pump the tyres up to high...

1st service due soon - MG Assist now an extra?

Access to a courtesy car, arranged by the AA if the dealer your broken down MG is taken too doesn't have one available, is the main bonus I believe.

    XPower in the Snow

Looks like the same undertray but with the retrofitted bracket on to 'remedy' the undertray distortion issue (so should stop a repeat of what happened to your old undertray at least)

1st service due soon - MG Assist now an extra?

Thanks for the replies. Well so far, the dealer hasn't bothered getting back to me with either a price or a response to the breakdown query (despite the fact they sent ME an e-mail reminding me the service was coming up!) I've just heard that a dealer in Yeovil (FJ Chalke) has just taken on the...

1st service due soon - MG Assist now an extra?

So in around 4 weeks time, our first service is due on our X-Power (not a bad effort - 14k miles considering of those 12 months, it was sat at the dealers for 3 months). Anyway, still waiting for the quote for the actual service from the supplying dealer (Hendy Poole) whose customer service has...
