    XPower bargains UK November 2025

Have MG just dumped a load of new XPowers on dealers, there seem to be a few brand new or low milage ex demos selling for around £25k. So would you go for a 1-2 year old XPower for just under £20k or spend the extra on a brand new one?

Will Caliban start on Monday morning?

Another option would be to get one of those ICE type cars and some jumper cables top up the 12v enough to fire up the traction battery...

"I'm in a bit of a fix at the moment"

I suspect there are a few lease cars that will fall foul of meeting all of the warranty T & C's. My lease company sent the car to an independent garage for its year 1 service and it is coming up for its year 2 service so I expect they will use the same garage. From what I could see from my...

    Most useful MG4 accessory?

Try detaching the seatbelt harness and attaching a dog lead to a wriggling terrier, who just wants to jump out for a walk in the dark, much easier with some light on the subject.

    Chinese car Brands. WOW!

If you listen to all the naysayers there is only 1 Chinese car manufacturer, The State, as they control everything apparently

Are we still talking about the MG4 or is this an Ann Summers product discussion?

"I'm in a bit of a fix at the moment"

If your maintenance contract stated that your car would be serviced to comply with MG warranty T&C's and the group did not offer you an alternative that would comply with the terms of the contract. Then they have breached the contract. Not only that but if by their actions they have rendered...

    Should I be worried?

My XPower was delivered (in Nov 2023) with a non working front passenger window, went back to the supplier they fixed a connector in the door and it has been fine ever since. Considering the journey the cars have there is always the possibility of in transit damage happening.

Yes (month and a half MGS5 review)

Maybe if you just had regen but you also have all the traction control systems that monitor for wheels losing grip

    MG4 Speed Recogonition

MG is not unique in trying to reinvent the wheel with the switch from ICE to electric cars and every manufacturer has had issues when trying to be "innovative". The issue is they have historically been mechanical and not software engineers so it's as new to them as it is to the owners. You may...

    Dangerous Adaptive cruise control

Do you see the same behaviour in speed limit mode as well as ACC mode? This will help to indicate if it is a button issue or a software issue.

Seeking Regen and AC Recommendations for New Owner

Tried to find some maths to back up how regen impacts efficiency. What I have noticed is that the car uses the most energy moving from a stand still to any speed. The more speed/energy you remove from the car (higher regen) the more energy it will take to get it back to the original speed. If...

Is this your experience? Top Gear Long Term Review

Just read this long term test review of the Cyberster on the Top Gear website and wondered how it matched with owner experiences here. Can you really not pre condition the car? https://www.topgear.com/long-term-car-reviews/mg-motor-uk/cyberster/250kw-trophy-single-motor-77-kwh-2dr-auto/report-9

    Love it or hate it

Interesting, but wondering if lining the stripe up with the offset camera/sensor at the top of the windscreen would make the offset position of this less obvious?

    Newbie... a few questions remain

1 - You can change the strength of the regen to adapt to personal preference 2 - As long as you indicate before manoeuvring the LKA will not impact your lane change 2a - All modern cars have mandatory driver assist systems that you may wish to disable 3 - Yes the car displays charge rate whilst...
