As my salary sacrifice lease company did not get the car serviced with an MG dealer in year 1, they have now lost the MG breakdown cover and the car has not received any software updates. I suspect MG would also be more averse to any issues being fixed down the line because of this.
In theory...
If it's a car you have never seen then there are a couple of ways folk are going to check, either use Google's AI picture recognition or see what the DVLA says it is. The only other way is to know the rear end of every car on UK roads and that's a big ask.
I wouldn't see using DVLA as cheating...
Everyone should buy their EV in the Winter. Mine was delivered 5/12/23 which means my ownership experience started with a worst case scenario and I saw range getting better, to return to its original levels the following Winter.
I guess perspective can make a difference to the user experience
More of an issue with soft tops and frameless windows, as moisture can get between the glass and the rubber door seal so any temp below freezing will act like glue. Maybe try any of the rubber protection products like Gummi Pfledge to help the glass from sticking.
Maybe you need them to prove that to you
When I first got the car I had an iPhone 11 and now I have a 16 Pro, the car is running R40 software and if anything the phone connection is more stable on the newer model.
I would suggest they are talking out of their < insert appropriate part of the...
I think one of the main things is people believe an EV is just another type of car when it is not.
The points you raise are all valid, with an EV journey you are thinking charge to charge not start to end.
Most ICE cars have a minimum range of 300 miles and take less than 10 minutes to...
Used to own a Fiat barchetta with metal pop out door handles that would always freeze shut, solution was to pop a matchstick behind them so they were always accessible in the morning.
Not sure how practical this would be for the charging port door, at least it isn't voice activated..open the...

The SMART meter targets are also interesting to compare...
I suspect this is not limited to the Ioniq 5, I posted a video in the Cyberster pages about track use of the car and after a couple of laps the driver was getting battery overheating warnings and a loss of performance
Mostly Normal mode, Sport for a B road blast, warp speed or all 4 wheels need grip otherwise if I am trying to get the charge under 10% for the monthly equalisation charge to increase power use.
Found this interesting video on YouTube, Cyberster starts at timestamp 1:20 ish and it suggests the battery temperature may have the biggest impact on track performance.
Not sure where you saw the range figures but on the MG website it does say the range in the ZS ev can be as low as 155 miles. It also states... "Range figures are provided for comparative purposes only and may not reflect real life driving results, which will depend upon a number of factors...
The thing with LKA is it only kicks in at speeds over 40mph so if your trip is around town or in an area where you will always be below that speed you don't have to deactivate it. Otherwise in my car it is always turned off.
I know it's not an MG but these are the kind of deals that are out there...
5,000 miles a year
£2389.43 deposit
36 x £174.12 = £6268.32
So £8657.75 for 3 years of driving a brand new EV with full warranty...
