Not even... If I get out with the key in my pocket to open the boot, or a door, or to plug in a charger. As soon as I get back in the flippin thing's back on again!
I ALAYS disable it, and the flashy distracting traffic sigh recognition whenever I get into the car, but it's caught me out...
Just seen this in my newsfeed:
Hundreds of MG4 owners say their £27k EVs have flawed safety tech putting them at risk - what is the Chinese brand doing about it?
Tried all that at the time to no avail... unfortunately, the autonomous vehicles act wasn't signed into law until this year. That little box you tick on the head unit every time says 'you assume all liability over the vehicle'. And let's face it, the insurance companies will shaft anyone and...
Yes, correct.
The manufacturer refused to investigate the incident unless the car was returned to one of their main dealerships and the insurance company refused to send it anywhere except their own approved repair centre. Needless to say, the insurance company blamed me, the driver, and it...
I changed from an EV6 to an MG4 after it tried to kill me, and my passengers at 60mph on the M1.
The LKA seemed to follow the car in front which was moving from lane 4 to lane 3. However, there was an HGV occupying lane 3 next to me and SMASH! No warnings or handing back of control and the LKA...
I've had this for a few months now. A dog or cat or bird ran / swooped out on a 40mph stretch.
*I stopped and got out to look for an injured animal but, nothing was there.
Hoping it's not big bucks to swap the plastic trims when I have the next service soon.
I personally wouldn't bother. I'm on the top of a hill and wide open to the elements and haven't had any problems with snow, ice, sideways rain etc. I just close the flap against the plug and it's fine.
I've been charging from the granny charger for a full year and never had any problems. I have an industrial extension cable from my utility building/garage at the back of the house all the way (30m) to the hedge at the front of the house. There's a double garden/waterproof socket on the end that...
I got mine from B&Q for £99 last year. They've gone up now though:
Vorsprung EV Charging Cable - Type 2 to Type 2 - 3-Metre - 1 Phase - 32A/7.68kW | DIY at B&Q
Pre-war house, can't fit a smart meter in.
*I know it sounds like a cop out but, it's the truth. I do love EVs, I've had 3 so far but the faffing and costs currently are really dampening my EV spirits.
I totally get what you're saying however, the M42, A42 and M1 North doesn't have an abundance...
Just had the most bizarre and infuriating moment while trying to charge my MG4
I pulled into the exact same bay I used 2 days prior on my way to friend's house, only this time I was on my way home.
The car totally refused to charge. I tried using the BP app, BP tried manually starting the...
I might give this a go. I've a domain with a 'catch all' email account so it doesn't really matter what I use. I've already got various addresses such as UpYoursNintendo@... and APCOAareSHIT@... ?
Apologies for any assumptions however, we're not able to see precisely what you're doing.
The very best cables to use (in my honest opinion) are Anker. These would definitely do the trick.
The next thing to try would be to plug in an iPhone to see if Apple CarPlay works.
If CarPlay works...
