Actually, remembering back, I may have done the open the boot when the car was locked, put the fob down in the boot whilst you sort something out, and shut the boot again trick!

The key detection system isn't foolproof, there are dead spots where it doesn't detect the fob. I locked mine in once, but I just unlocked the car with the iSmart app - it saved going indoors to get the spare fob!

If it's a screen protector it should be easy enough to peel off and find out for sure.

I agree, the photo does not look a protective film but damage to screen. I looks like someone has been using a screwdriver or similar to lever the buttons out.

Mine came with a protective film on it. I left it on for a while before removing it. I later installed a matt screen protector.

You would have to create a hotspot on your phone, and then connect the car to that via its connect to WiFi option.

with my blockers the original page only loads the photo and has a message that you must disable your blockers to view the content :(

But changing the modes changes the accelerator response curve, so holding a steady position whilst changing modes is meaningless, with each regen setting you will on a different point of the curve.
