I particularly like the autobrake when drivers door's open.

At least it looks like they have put Drive towards the front and Reverse towards the rear. Unlike the levers in autos, which you pull back to go forwards - who came up with that idea! For me the MG knob is also the wrong way around (at least for RHD cars) you twist it away from you backwards...

    MG4 2 speed gearbox?

    Nope

I particularly like the autobrake when drivers door's open.

It does put it into P (and locks the transmission) whilst the car is still moving. I have done it (opened the door) whilst the car was rolling slowly to try and look at an obstruction. BANG! A very sudden halt with back wheels locked.

Shock, Horror, Gobsmacked - I've left Octopus!

I get the same graph. The tariff name is the same as John's though ?

You CAN road trip an SE SR

I think that rather than this, and the previous free hours, being meant to be real benefit to the customers (we know the individual benefit is small); they are experiments by Octopus to see what may be achieved in the future in terms of grid balancing and demand management.

You CAN road trip an SE SR

Octopus have said this offer only applies to leccy used for car charging - they even said don't bother scheduling a tumble dryer marathon. I guess they will take the reading from the charger rather than the meter.

    Free Energy

No solar for me, that was just plugging the car in and doing a wash cycle They said Octopus customers used up 531 MWh of surplus green energy.

SOC via ODB2 is not the same as displayed on dashboard!

I should caveat my response by saying that it is on an MG4. I hadn't realised this post was on the MG5 forum

SOC via ODB2 is not the same as displayed on dashboard!

Sorry not off the top of my head, I'd have to go out run Car Scanner again - it shows both values - and see which PID is which.

SOC via ODB2 is not the same as displayed on dashboard!

From what I remember, there are two different SOC values available over ODB. One looks like the absolute value taking the total battery capacity including the reserved capacity at the top and bottom into the calculation. The other without those reserved values and reflects the usable SOC and...

Would you buy an MG 4 again?

Yep, I read it, but it wasn't clear which leader board you were referring to. It is now thanks - I don't have the app installed any more, care to post say the top five?

Would you buy an MG 4 again?

Which leader board is that? To get anywhere near the top of road cars you need to be well south of 2 seconds. In EV tables Tesla Performance are clocking around 2.1

My car will be plugged in for a top-up :)

Scheduled charging - what am I doing wrong.

Using both sounds like a bad idea to me. What are the chances they both start at exactly the same time?
  16. M

    Are Tesla's days numbered?

Not just twitter though. The Tesla board must be thinking he's a liability now.

    GPS for acceleration timing.

Can you get the gradient from your data? The Dragy only declared results valid if the slope was < 1% - I found it really hard to find a (quiet) road that complied, even on the "flat" Cheshire plain where I live.

    Interior light holder

It's just to put a bit of light on the centre console area at night.

    Step by step to charge?

And like you I never power down. Locked/unlocked, it always works either way.

    Step by step to charge?

On DC charging unlocking doesn't stop mine, but on AC I have noticed it once - but the charge resumed the same session when I touched the start charge button on the car screen.
