According to Wikipedia, the USA uses AKI (otherwise known as PON), rather than RON. With AKI being 4 to 6 lower than RON. AKI is an average of RON and MON.

@pjrcarman you definitely have G. Maps set up incorrectly. With route up it will show just like the built-in maps, zooming in when you come to turnings, and back out a bit afterwards. G.Maps also has the option for EV efficient routes.

I've done the same journey many times, when it's windy I see a big difference too. The journey above was on a windless day; the turbines were all looking very sad and droopy. The temperatures both ways were very similar too.

Same here, it will unlock/lock the car, but key not detected when you try and start. It used to work, but when I reset my phone and had to reinstall the iSmart app, and so had to re-initialise the digital key it has never worked since. I have also since changed my phone - it still doesn't...

I don't really use the built-in maps, normally I use Google maps, but I keep the built-in maps up to date as a backup. This is the third update I have applied in 18 months.

But, but,... all data, even from high-speed chargers goes over the physical type 2 connector - it's the only one with data pins. If I plug in to a 11 or 22kW Type 2 charger it can read the SoC from the car, can't it? Or am I misremembering - it's been some time since I used one.

Agreed, it is a mess for any supplier to implement. The major shortcoming is the type 2 interface not passing the SoC. What were they thinking when they designed that! Or why did they never create a Type 2 v2 definition that included it. - another topic. Personally, with the Ohme charger I do...

Indeed, I imagine it requires very sticky tyres and a special surface for any normal weight car. Dragsters which can beat 0.5 seconds even have a glue applied to the track. I have read sub 1 second equates to travelling about 40 feet!

Not fully relavent, but the download worked ok with no errors on my MG4. Sort of proves that there is nothing corrupt in the zip though.

I have the opposite experience, all the cables I tried with my 7 Pro worked fine. Even cheap thin ones, and an old micro USB with a micro to USB C adapter plugged on the end!

You can't. You need a login to the backend servers for the software to work. I believe the service manager at each dealership is given and controls a login.
