Will do. :)
I've also emailed the Ofgem information to Good Energy, explaining that I have asked British Gas to remove the objection so that they can continue.
I have just sent this reply to the BG email.
"Hello,
Thank you for your email.
From the Ofgem website: What happens if your energy supplier goes bust
When your new supplier contacts you
Ask your new supplier to put you on their cheapest tariff, or shop around and switch if you want to. You...
Mine has been blocked too, although it did give me the oppertunity to look at Good Energy which do a really good EV tariff. They are waiting until the objection is lifted.

Hmm. Someone's been listening to the oil industry FUD. One battery once made will last for maybe 30 years in a vehicle, and then another 30 years in battery storage. One tank of petrol lasts less than one of your long road trips and once burned, cannot be reused. Crude oil has to be extracted...
Which is what it says in the description;

Your mileage is recorded at each MOT test. That would be the easiest way to do it. And yes, I know that the first 3 years on a new car doesn't have an MOT, but they'll get you at the first MOT and then if you've been under-reporting thet'll hit you with a big bill.
