Its a user problem.
Telsa on the dash displays a special icon to indicate reduced regen. Conditions it shows them at high SoC and cold temperatures.
My 8 years / 100k miles with Nissan leaf match with that behaviour.
If you had the app bound to your phone number / email, any unbind requests will come to that phone / email.. yes you only have limited time to cancel it but that is how it worked when I tried binding.
3 hours in total from me requesting unbind to getting this.
No just don't rely on it being strong all the time. Battery heating option is to ensure optimal temperature for rapid charging (and takes power to do that)
Unless you are actively using battery heating option, ambient temperature does not imply battery maintains the same. In passive mode heat absorption and dissipation is slow
KERS is dependent on so many factors. State of charge / battery temperature.
High state of charge will reduce regen until battery can accept higher current. Same holds true for cold battery - hence the battery heating option to enable higher charging speed
Does Trophy have equally bad camera ?
Just for the record, Leaf30 wasn't a particularly more expensive car back in the day. Its 8 year old and has better camera / resolution.
having started with
Leaf30
Outlander Phev
HS Phev
The ZS SE camera resolution (front and reversing) is really bad putting this lightly . Is there any way to replace those with HS equivalent?
From my experience with Leaf 30 and later with me messing up the balance on LFP I learned ignorance is bliss. Charge to 100% and don't over think.
Model Y I charge to 80% as it is recommended but MG will charge at needed to 100%
I picked up our SE on Friday and tried binding yesterday but that didn't work. Requested unbind from the app. It put the binding in pending mode and sent a request to previous owner. As long as they do not reject - after an hour or two the unbind is approved.
I managed to bind later yesterday...
My only experience with LFP is with home battery I installed 1.5 years ago. In early days I tried to limit charge to 90% with once a week full charge for balancing and started noticing substantial imbalance.
Having talked to the supplier and then reading the manufacturer documentation, I...
Just picked up the 2022 ZS EV and drove 25 miles home. it was 4.1 miles / kWh - granted it is warm weather and I was using ACC which doesn't regen. One thing that really ticks me off with MG implementation - HS Phev had the same
That is bad.. maybe turn the heating down a bit and see how that goes.
My HS Phev which is bigger / chunkier lugging an engine around used to do manage 3 easily
Its not the most aerodynamic car and does not have heat pump for heat will use significantly more electrons.
Its quoted just over 3.5 miles / kwh - if you drive really well maybe 4 miles / kWh?
