    I hate my MG4!

I love China: Sodium-ion (Na-ion) batteries are currently in a stage of rapid industrialization, poised to become a cost-effective alternative to lithium-ion batteries, particularly for stationary energy storage and affordable electric vehicles. While still in the early phases of...

Should I be worried about the number of used MG4s around at the moment?

Sure but the car I have is at least half the price of what BMW can offer and I'll take that option avery single time. Not a fair comparison at all. As usual, most of those who post on forums do so because they have an issue or pereceived issue (as often it's use error). However, most who have no...

Should I be worried about the number of used MG4s around at the moment?

Well, BMW are a "stack 'em high" and "sell 'em expensive" type of car retailer. I bought my 2009 330D touring from a dealer in Birmingham but I lived in Surrey, no problem, it was the spec I was looking for. The car was only 3 months old with 2500 miles on the clock. After washing the car at...

    MG4 X Power Vibe/Hum 65 to 75mph

I've actually persuaded 3 people to buy MG4s after trips and a drive of my car and a 4th is about to put down a deposit. The 3 who bought are very happy with their cars and have recommended to some of their friends & family. Just sayin'.

    I hate my MG4!

I'm referring to sodium ion batteries. There's also graphene ion battery tech that's been under development for the last 3 years.

Impressed by the range and mls/kWh

I'm currently getting a long term average (over the last 6000kms), 14.8kWh/100km which is 6.76km/kWh or 4.2mls/kWh on my Xpower.

To Update MG4 software or Not?

Yep and no reason to think it won't work in the same way if I use it some more. Sorry to disappoint you with no negativity or moaning.

Heating is exactly the same for me although I rarely use that here. Works just fine.

To Update MG4 software or Not?

My AC is always set to 'auto' and target temp of 22°C, works very well, blower starts strongly for a while during hot summer days until it gets down to the target temp then very quiet while it maintains that temp.

Test your MG4 battery to understand low range

Yep, just like the German guy thinking he can sue MG regarding open source software that MG isn't 'releasing'. Some people always angling to become a 'peoples' hero when they are in fact completely deluded themselves for various other reasons.

Test your MG4 battery to understand low range

Not as simple as that at all. It all depends on how you drive the car, same with ICE vehicles and everyone will get a different result as they live in different places, differen climates, different topographies, different traffic volumes, more/less highways, different textures of road surfaces...

    Changing to Mainland Europe Spec

Well, about 30% of the world's population drive on the left side of the road (RHD) with a whopping 70% driving on the right side of the road (LHD). That's also around 75 countries being RHD and (again) a whopping 175 countries being LHD. So yes, really

MG4 Drivers seat, has it sunk?

No problem getting in and out of the car. The seat bolsters provide some good support in the curves. Without them, people would be moaning that there aren't any seat bolsters and that they're sliding around.

Cracks in rear light plastic - internal

Nothing can be 'fit for purpose' if some are heavy handed enough to treat their vehicles like a piece of rubbish. The tailgate IS fit for puropse during reasonable use which includes taking a light touch to such areas if the car. Still, people can do what they like.

Cracks in rear light plastic - internal

I see so many people slamming their tailgates shut on all cars that have them. When I close the tailgate, I lower it gently down and then let it drop on its own weight when it's about a hand palm's height from closing. Slamming tailgates can cause cracks in lights and light bars after some time...

    This is annoying (suddenly unresponsive)

It's under the front hood as in most cars. A few have them in the back like some BMWs. Takes a few seconds to go take a look. You'll need to know this information if you get a problem such as you have right now.
