What's all this about solid state batteries in the MG4?

Yes and businesses are made up of the same people, no vision or interest in the future. Not going to change as long as we have a money and profit driven culture.

What's all this about solid state batteries in the MG4?

I agree. It's 'people' who have held back tech progress not just in automotive but many, many other areas. Fear of change, complacency, comfort zones, lack of any mentality to adapt to move forward. We saw during covid the utter incapability to adapt to very new simple things such as putting on...

What's all this about solid state batteries in the MG4?

When we have a central joystick between and forward of the front seats eliminating the lhd/rhd steering wheel nonsense we have today that also replaces the foot pedals (pull back to accelerate/forward to brake/left/right to steer/button to switch to reverse, alternative to brake discs/pads...

What's all this about solid state batteries in the MG4?

EVs still have much of the 'tech' from ICEs, 4 wheels, 4 brake disks, 4 calipers, same seats, wipers, steering wheel, driver's seating position, windscreen, up/down electric windows, hatch backs, saloons, outward opening doors etc, etc and none of that will change in the next 10-20 years at...

    MG4 X Power Vibe/Hum 65 to 75mph

Picked up my Xpower brand new for a total of €31,000, which is £25,800, not £36,500. which makes the Xpower nearly half the price of the BYD seal.

Probably won’t get an MG4 again

And there's no wear & tear from running cold engines, warming up etc which affect piston engines every time they are used, dust ingestion through air filters etc.

    MG4 X Power Vibe/Hum 65 to 75mph

According to reports from BYD Seal owners and reviews, a common complaint regarding the car's emergency braking system is that it can be overly sensitive, leading to "phantom braking" where the car unexpectedly applies the brakes in seemingly benign situations, often causing discomfort and...

    MG4 X Power Vibe/Hum 65 to 75mph

According to user reports and reviews, some common issues with the BYD Seal include: a heavily reliant touchscreen interface making driving adjustments difficult, inconsistent regenerative braking, concerns about suspension quality leading to a bouncy ride, occasional issues with door handles...

    Granny charger measurements

I would have thought that the cost of an EVSE is smaller than miniscule compared to the value of a property. Additionally, not having a charging point when buying a property allows choice of the latest tech when it comes to EVSEs on offer.

    Lane assist help

Y Yep, same here but some blame MG when in fact most of their 'gripes' are user error, not reading the owner's manual. Tech isn't for everyone, sad fact of life. Well, that's even more disappointing that you've had 3 EVs and still haven't managed the tech involved Well, that's even more...

    Re-enabling ACC During a Trip

It's all in the owner's manual: Adaptive Cruise Resume After the adaptive cruise control system is paused and not turned off, it can be reactivated by moving the switch upward. The target cruise speed will automatically be set to the target speed before exiting the adaptive cruise control system.

wow, you really do have a problem with sour grapes. As I said previously, EVs clearly aren't for you. Maybe something with a lot less tech would be more suitable? :ROFLMAO:

    Stop Looking At My Car!!!

That would actually look better than some 3rd party add-ons costing €1000s :ROFLMAO:

    Stop Looking At My Car!!!

Don't forget to add some lighting under the car, some fake 4-pipe exhausts and a 1000w sub. Oh, and remember to remove the front number plate and place it on the dash as that's also been a "cool" thing to do for some reason.
