Really? Many MG4s that have been bought have been sitting around for months unused. No issues with the aircon systems cooling function at all. The 'drying out seals' issue was an issue many years ago but materials and lubricants have moved on like many other developments.

So......MG is no different, some have an issue with the temp sensor and some don't (the vast majority) as with VW/BMW/AUDI/etc

I had problems on my BMW and VWs with the temp sensor showing inconsistent readings, in both scenarios, dirt was the culprit, the sensor itself was fine when cleaned.

The problem with 'protecting' temp sensors in wheel liners/behind grills etc is that they get covered in traffic dirt/film very quickly. While this won't give a failure, the accuracy will be compromised. The position on the MG is good as it allows the sensor to be cleaned by rain/moisture or...

My brand new grey BMW 330D came with several black spots under the clear coat. Was fixed under warranty but took 3 months to get approved. The undertray on the MG4 is a minor issue in comparison. Mine doesn't actually have that problem.

No it's not minor at all! It means the car is rubbish and you need to start posting lots of comments on lots of different threads about how rubbish MG cars really are! Lol. Enjoy the car, they are fabulous.

The car suits all of my needs, in fact it exceeds them. Best new car I've bought and I've had BMWs, Porsches, VWs. Lots of 'issues' are user created and resolved by reading the supplied manuals. Ho hum, loving mine😎

maybe because having the window partially open is more pleasant as I do whenever I need some fresh air, applies to any car I've owned. My aircon is off 90% of the time from Nov-April.

I find the infotainment system responds fine for me. I don't need/use bluetooth/carplay etc, never have done on any car I've had and the MG4 system provides way more info than I need while driving.
