I hate to tell you but your dealer DOESN'T know which ship your car is on, just that its at sea as I asked Miles, who is a forum member that works for Chorley group, and he told me that they aren't told which ship.

This is where the system is wrong, dealers that get 'stock' cars offered by mg should be allowed to offer them to customers on there waiting list with no financial penalty to either dealer or customer. I would like to hear what other members think about this.

Any decent dealer would apply for the grant at the time of sale, as did mine back in December just before it dropped from £2500 to £1500.

How come Chorley can always get hold of new mg's (Sr or lr) whenever they want when people have been waiting 7 or 8 months. Obviously there is some serious brown nosing going on!!!!

It sounds like they don't seem to have very good customer services!!!

All new cars have to have a PDI (PRE DELIVERY INSPECTION) which is done by the dealers service department, but this only takes 60-90 mins. Also all the new cars I've had come with 7 days fully comp ins plus 7 days gap, plus if your car is written of in the first 12 months insurance companies...

Does anyone know if you can track your order if the dealer tells you your car 'is at sea' if you don't know which dinghy it's on?
