In an MG5? PreFL or FL?

Well, I would have used a graphite spray rather than WD40, but I thought that I'd better ask them in case it damaged enything. However, the service dept reckon that it's the motor rather than the plastic. To be honest, I think that they're wrong.

Our car went in for it's first service yesterday and they mentioned that they had an update for the entertainment system. When we got it back we tested out the problem with my phone set to music off in bluetooth and the problem didn't happen at all - text and email notifications to my phone...

I didn't find that it made a difference, but turning off BT did. So it's a balance - have uninterrupted music or be able to take phone calls.

Quite, but the FL version is more limited

This seems spot on - we tested it out today. My phone is linked to the car by bluetooth but not plugged in as my music is on a USB stick and the car only has one data type port. Whenever my wife sent anything from her phone (text messages, emails) the music paused, requiring it to be restarted...

Playing music from a USB stick and the audio system goes into pause mode, requiring a press on the play button to continue. It then cuts out again and again at random intervals. I haven't tried restting the screen yet, but was wondering whether anyone else had seen this behaviour?

There is a thread in the MG4 section, which suggests that 10-100% charging is required every so often - apparently this is mentioned in the MG4 manual. I can't find anything in the MG5 manual that suggests that this is necessary - only charging to 100% and allowing equalisation to take place...

I've used the Halfords concentrate for years in all my cars, using it dilute in the summer and neat in the winter. So far, it's been fine.
