Car will reset to defaults when first turned on. When stationary apply the handbrake (use switch) as you would in an ice vehicle. Press the accelerator to move off and the handbrake automatically releases.
Interesting to note that the uk government has announced that the driver will not be responsible for an accident in a self driving car and the insurance company will take the rap!
I'm currently trying to establish from MG if there is a specific software update for this fast charging problem or whether my car which apparently has the latest software from the factory already addresses this issue.
I can see that this will soon be in the Press as it appears that current cars are not fit for purpose. Hopefully exposure will mean that more effort is put in by MG to resolve this issue quickly. Their software validation appears to be lacking big time!
Maybe we should not be charging Standard Range ZS EV to 100%....see link below

Ok. That's good to know. There are some theories that leaving the car on may be causing problems. Glad AA could fix it, as others haven't been so lucky and have had to be towed to dealers for them to clear codes.
If your current tariff is coming to an end then octopus go/ go faster is a no brainer. Day rates are equivalent to other suppliers, but you get 4 or 5 hours of cheap electricity at 7.5 and 8.25 p/kWh respectively during which you can charge the car, put the washing machine on etc.
I think the advanced safety aids will have more of an effect on insurance premiums. Our premium was no more expensive than our 14 year RAV4 when we changed over with LV.
Communication with the car is over the cellular (mobile phone network) and therefore in theory you can connect to your car anywhere on the planet where you have a mobile phone signal.
Completely agree with the above....have found all the same issues. These could all be sorted with OTA updates if the system works....we will have to wait and see!
