Heard squeaking noise from rear nearside suspension. On investigation discovered top couple of inches of shock spring had broken off and spring was no longer centrally located on post. Booked in at MG garage in Shrewsbury for next Tuesday. Is this going to be a future problem for all Long...
Make sure the noise is not coming from the rear view mirror. My garage wanted to rip out the dash to investigate! After reading this forum I removed the mirror and greased it with silicone grease. Problem solved.
I found my rattle was due to the rear view mirror (dealer was convinced rattle was coming from dash and wanted car for two days to take it apart!). After removing rear view mirror and refitting with silicone grease the annoying rattle has now gone.
My experience is when I haven't left my foot on the brake pedal errors can occur....they will not always happen, but more likely. Leaving foot on the brake pedal until 'ready' sign appears has resulted in no errors to date.
If you don't hold your foot on the foot break until the system says ready on the dash you are likely to get boot up errors. If you let your foot off early this interrupts the boot up process hence the errors.
Try contacting podpoint. I had a problem when I had solar panels fitted and found out that podpoint had a software update with respect to the power balancing of the podpoint unit.
What's the incoming supply voltage from your DNO? Some inverters will not work if this is too high i.e. above 253V. This is a common problem with solar power inverters.
