I had that sort of thing every time the 12v battery is disconnected. The error messages went away after: unlock, start and drive forwards, stop turn off and lock, unlock and it's fixed. (The locking isn't necessary). So if it isn't gone the second time you start the car it's an issue.

Thanks. For the 12v stuff there is a possible alarm issue if the car tops up the 12v battery while locked. If you keep an eye on the voltage either through ovms or just a multimeter to make sure the battery doesn't get too drained before the car decides to top it up you could fiddle with that...

You could always "notice" the rear lights going off after heavy rain meaning you would need the car recovered to the dealer since you can't drive without rear lights.

I didn't mean dismantle anything I just meant you could see if it was the number plate or window bottom, side or top etc by working your way up the outside with a hose until you see water leaking out. That way you can tell the dealer where the leak is and test it when they try and sort it

With it now draining you should be able to test where the water comes in. If you open the boot a little and start hosing until you see the water come out.
