Evening all,
I’ve had my MG4 since new and overall it’s been a good car and undoubtedly is a joy to drive.
However I find I’m constantly worrying about depreciation, I won’t be keeping my car long term and looking around at other EV’s ( corsa-e’s, leaf’s, Zoe’s ) they are selling for around...
Good evening Chris,
Apologies I can’t remember for the life of me what fuse slot I ended up using, but I did indeed get it working out it should.
Another user mentions there are a few people who bothered to make a video, so follow their advise and good luck ??
Yep it’s one of my annoyances too, I’ll be miles from the car in front and if it slows down even slightly my mg4 will deaccelerate harshly. My golf ACC by comparison is 10 years old technology but perfect.
Ah great to hear it’s not just me. I’ve got my car booked in for the 21st about the issue.
I tried asking them could I just send a picture and them order the part then have the car off me when the part finally arrives, but nope they want the car for the day which is a tad inconvenient to say...
Good evening All,
I’ve had my MG4 since launch and it’s always had some small amount of condensation in the rear light clusters ( especially over the winter ) I’ve just noticed today that one of my rear light clusters has developed micro cracks near the edge and this must be where moisture is...
I think your overthinking this tbh, I’ve got a £500 fully refundable deposit which I can get back at any point prior to handover. I’ve preordered now as the standard lead time is 8-10months and I think this car will be extremely popular and that lead time will increase !
A car could seam...
Yep I feel that’s a good example, we have solid state batteries around the corner and I’m sure heat pumps will be standard on all EV’s for greater efficiency ( they should be anyhow )
I’ll have to see how Volvo is in person ( Demo aiming to be available in December/ Jan is what I’ve just heard...
Thanks for that, I didn’t find that bit of blurb when ordering and had to go off what reviewers were saying which was mixed - but acceptable size for us.
As I wasn’t 100% sure I mearly mentioned about the same size of MG4 in the sense that they shouldn’t expect large boot like a normal sized SUV.
Wise stuff there, I think I’m just flapping slightly as I’ve never outright owned a new car before and had to worry about depreciation ( I’ve always had cheap leases - remember when they were a thing ! Or secondhand cars that are worth a a few grand so didn’t really deprecate much )
Good evening All,
I’ve pre-ordered a Volvo EX30 and as long as it test drives nice I feel it’s worth the upgrade over my MG4 SE.
Now I do like my MG4, but don’t love it. Having a look at autotrader and the used prices of MG’s is worrying me. I don’t know if to sell now and potentially get...
I ordered online though the Volvo website, then I rang the local dealer but they didn’t know when one would be ready to view / test drive. When I ordered the website stated a 8-10 month lead time.
Volvo EX30 boot wise I wouldn’t expect great things, it’s a small SUV and is rear wheel drive so...
Bowfer +1, I think the basic spec is brilliant and all you need really - heated seats, heated steering wheel, parking sensors all around, parking camera, dual zone climate, powered tailgate, adaptive cruise, premium stereo amongst loads more.
Good evening all,
So I’ve just preordered a Volvo EX30, I’ve confirmed with them and you get your £500 deposit refunded at any time prior to handover ( useful as there isn’t going to be one in the country for months to look at / test drive )
Even if the volvo is what I want, I need to have a...
My number 1 favourite thing about the MG4 is just how well it drives, it’s comfortable yet feels agile and somehow feels flat in the corners ( not wallowy at all ) it drives out of corners really nicely too thanks to RWD, the steering feels brilliant too, I also find it feels quick from say...
When MG did my breather mod they also drained and “refilled” the gearbox, no doubt to a lower level which itself would have probably “fixed” the leak. As others have mentioned if this level is sufficient for long term reliability I wouldn’t know, thankfully I believe the whole motor / gearbox...
+1 zappi don’t seam reliable, I’ve know a few having to be replaced ( thankfully under warranty ) but they are one of the few to have if you have solar / battery.
My vote for a charger that just works, has a decent amount of smart features and a great reputation for reliability is Ohme.
I got a Ohme pro installed near the inside of my garage door, when I charge the car I put the cable under the garage door ( I’ve made a special “ notch” in the bottom of...
Op I’ve sort of been in this same boat a month ago, sadly over the last 2 weeks Tesla approved used cars have dramatically gone up in price - I did see a few 2021 models for less that £30k, but not for the last few weeks.
To the cars themselves, I think the MG4 drives and rides better plus...
