Although this is totally outside of this particular thread I do understand your reluctance to buy this car. You started the ‘ to Phev or not to Phev’ and got a lot of impartial feedback from the few owners that are on this forum up till now. I have no idea if the shortcomings can or will ever be...
No, you do not...
But in wintertime I have to wait for the car to heat up and then switch to EV until I gets cold again. The only way to drive in winter is in the hybrid mode and that is how i came to this new issue. Got it?
That is correct and I do not want a mandatory speed to kick in, there IS a mandatory speed in the Hybrid management system. I just would like to have it higher in order to drive without ICE in rural area’s with climate control if needed.
That is interesting as well...
So it looks like different country versions have a not corresponding speed setting. Indeed your version would be more suitable for our urban speed limit of 50kph (31mph). You have 35mph ( 56kph) as speed limit I guess, so it also kicks in too soon. 60 kph and 40...
Yes Frank, it makes more sense to only use the EV mode in urban circumstances. In this car that is the only way to silence the ICE, and thereby charging, permanently. Because the EV mode operates under restrictions I tried the Hybrid management to see the difference. Then my question came up why...
Did not try this out yet Cocijo, good thought!
However I think it will not make a difference or worse even.
Automatic/ Standard depletes the battery according to average driving distances. Medium depletes around 50% and High keeps the battery around 100%. So, in the non standard modes more...
Driving in the Hybrid mode during low speed conditions (urban conditions) with speed limits of 50 km in my country, I wonder why the engine (ICE) kicks in at 40km/h. Low speed driving is perfect for the battery to be used only.
Anyone who has good arguments to defend this management profile? I...
OK, paid a visit to my dentist just now and driving in a snowstorm with 0 degr outside air temp! I could select airco with blowers on.
Lowest selectable temp is 16 followed by LO. Selecting LO enables airco selection without losing the EV mode.
Some pics attached. You can see that on the top of...
Hi Jem,
I think you read my thread ‘Fueling or Freezing’
First, the seat heating has only one setting, on or off. This means that you have to switch it off and on because it will get to hot in most cases unfortunately. I will put that on my personal software wish list as well.
No steering wheel...
Thanks Frank for explaining all the different Hybrid versions, however in this case I have to conclude that it does charge and I can even choose 3 options.
Look at the description in the manual attached.
The fact that it takes so long to charge from a network (AC) to the battery (DC) is due to...
