My first impression with driving my brand new MG plug-in Hybrid in 100% EV mode: The electric drive has a 4 gear transmission system which often shifts in a very slow way. The car halts for a moment like someone who cannot find the next gear! In the hybrid mode with 6 extra gears available here...

A software fix to have heating will not be possible as it is a hardware issue. There is no electrical heating fitted. A software update for better access to EV driving would be very welcome!

The engine does charge the battery while driving and you can either select automatic/Standard, Medium or High. Medium being around 50% battery level and High charging up to 100%. Standard is default and depletes the battery according to the average drivers journey range.

Good point maybe! But the speedy DC chargers at gas stations are fast because of the direct entry into the battery, or am I wrong?
