Breaking news... Just booked my 22 plate MG5 in for it's 3rd service and MOT and was told that they are now doing the update and it has been added to the job sheet... 25th of Narch. I shall report back.

I doubt there are enough owners affected to make a class action worth their while... The other problem is that for most dealers it's part of a franchise. Richmond, for instance, are Hyundai, Skoda, MG and Suzuki, with MG probably the smallest part of their business. Last year, they moved the MG...

My 22 plate is due a service with Richmond soon... I'll ask if it exists yet... they strongly denied it last year.

Good point. I think it's MG service plan. The dealer I bought the car from sold me a generic plan of their own which I cancelled once I realised. The company it was with cancelled with no problem and the lass I dealt with said they had a lot of mis-sold MG plans that they'd refunded on...

Denied it to me... in may last year... It'll be their loss in the long run.

22 plate LR pre-face lift... Richmond Cars (Southampton) Ltd who have never heard of such a thing, in spite of promise to check with MG technical. When I returned, he said technical had intimated that if it was available it would show on the PC check for updates... Waiting for my service plan...

The big problem with manufacturers is that they make the cars they want to, rather than the cars we want. The MG5 was a big suceess as it was not too complicared and near enough to a normal estate and not 'space age'. Look at Jaguar with their next offering, I don't see it ticking the boxes of...

Ha ha... I had that with the Gridserves at Woolley Edge... couldn't find the charger number on the app until I noticed I was on the Northside and the app on the southside....

Gridserve's new app can show how fast you're charging and will message you at 80% battery if you've wandered off. Pretty impressed with it... and with 2 trips to Leeds and back this month, the discount they were offering was welcome! As for that video... they shouldn't be allowed out without...
