Sounds good... "If the battery has more than 50%...etc" is that the inverter controlling that part?
Am wondering... does your Zappi connect to the inverter in some way for these things to happen?
Home Chargers and SOLAR compatibility Issues
I had a SYNC-EV charger installed Sept of last year which has worked ok for my Hybrid charging needs.
HOWEVER...
I had a solar power and battery system installed a couple of weeks back and last night (or rather this morning) something weird...
Yep I know, saved the day. Still i'm not gonna loose sleep over any of it. The dealership is not responding to calls, emails i'd made at all so I guess that speaks for itself. I wont be the only one voting with their feet and that's for them to manage.
I'm not gonna bother naming and shaming...
To be clear... (soz if i confused you) but my car was 1 year old (an ex demonstrator) it had 1500 miles on it.
BUT... the salesman, at the point of sale, told me it still came with a years MG AA cover as part of the service. He even gave me the red call card, I asked him if I needed to...
Its a bit of a moot point but yup I did several times... I can only guess that the fact they were in my jacket meant the signal didn't pick up in the boot. Of course the real issue is the lack of cover that I was told came with the deal. My wife is in a 'vulnerable' health category which is...
Just a heads up.... Bought my 1 year old Excite PHEV last year... I was away on holiday and inadvertently locked my keys in the boot (i had them in my coat and put it in the boot) The car was locked and the boot would not open... ? YEP I KNOW... dumb right!! Phoned the AA but they...
Yep we noticed the build up early on with our PHEV.. good to know about the HVAC circulation thing... Its the same with any car i've had its just that this PHEV does'nt have an obvious recirculation button to flick, so just means your building up humidity from your breath with each journey...
Hmm.. I actually wrote to pod point (email) to get them to correct this info some months ago as I too found it confusing when my car would only charge at 3.6kwhrs... Glad they took notice then...:sneaky:
It had a firmware update which completely crippled the smart function for me... a fix was always coming 'tomorrow' and tomorrow never materialised... It was just frustrating and went on for weeks n weeks. My installer has been fabulous and offered to rip it out and put an alternative one in...
How are you getting on with your Zappi - Im having problems with smart charging on my Sync EV and have the option to have it ripped out and replaced with another unit.. I'm looking at Zappis
Yep I think that's the point with PHEVS they're not so eco on longer journeys albeit the comfort level is amazing.... My old cactus would achieve 55mpg if I didn't push it.. but the ride was never something I wanted to do a lot of in it..
In my PHEV local journeying (which is 90% of what we...
For anyone wondering about Long journey HS PHEV Fuel economy....
Had a long trip (mostly motorway and dual carriageway) this week around each way 208 miles
Outbound
Took it slow as wanted to see how careful driving would make a difference.
Journey took 5 1/2 hours (mix of careful speed and...
Spoke to support (answered quick and v helpful) seems its a known issue with a recent update.. although the app shows the car stuck on 'preparing' it does actually charge as per set schedule. Tested and it did work.
We've had our seats get really hot this past month or so, so I ordered some seat covers from Amazon. took a couple of weeks to arrive but they fit quite nice for covers and have a stitching that makes them look original. They're designed for air bags too, so that's a bonus
Front covers fit...
