Eco mode in the MG stupidly reduces the heating and it's the heating and A/C which helps reduce fogging. EVs tend to be more prone to fogging as they don't have a big lump of hot metal in the engine bay to heat the airflow into the car. Basically avoid ECO mode and use the A/C controls to...
The infotainment system is cack. Just ensure that you press the brake pedal firmly when starting and keep it pressed until you get the ready bong and message. If the radio hasn't started then you can use the middle button on the left button cluster on the steering wheel to get it going rather...
FWIW braking does not increase regen unlike other EVs but uses the friction brakes. The regen will be active according to the KERS setting but only because you're not pressing the accelerator.
You'll get much bigger weight differences with lots of passengers and luggage and yes it will make a difference to the range and as I said the range will still be as accurate as it can be as weight wouldn't need any calibration. You do need to drive for a while for the guessometer (GOM) to...
Welcome to the forum. The car only needs to know how much energy you are using over a given distance so if the rims are the same size then the distance will still be the same so no calibration is needed. In the same way that the range calculation is as accurate as it is with or without...
I have the exact same. I was told that I could get the windscreen replaced under warranty but it was all sealed correctly so I left it. Ironically after they had checked the scuttle etc the creak was cured but that was the spring and it returned in the autumn with the cold weather. It's the...
The last software update I had for the ZS has cured the need for a reboot which was my main issue. I'd agree that the whole "software" package for MG cars at the moment is pretty awful and will sink them unless they sort it.
Trip reset isn't necessary unless you want to lose all the accumulated driving history. There's nothing the car does to tell you that balancing has been completed, you just have to trust the BMS. I'm guessing that the high power draws that people are seeing at 100% when re-starting a charge are...
Well you beat me then; I had a courtesy car for 4 months. I saw it as 4 months less wear and tear on mine so wasn't overly concerned. The courtesy car was an MG 5 so was a decent replacement IMO. If I'd been given a fossil fuelled car then would've been a different story.
