First European road trip (in the Cyberster)

Great stuff, as someone who loves a good road trip (I'm planning a big loop around France now for this Summer) it's something I'm very familiar with, albeit always in ICE cars where range is completely irrelevant. I'm also a regular visitor to Switzerland, truly the most beautiful country in...

New Cyberster Owner - Drive to Switzerland

Sounds like WLTP is about as useful as a chocolate teapot. At best misleading if not an outright scam. Who drives at 16mph?

New Cyberster Owner - Drive to Switzerland

Isn't the range of the GT supposed to be 270 miles or so? I know WLTP is only valid in dreams and delusions, but 270 to 189 is a heck of a difference.

New Cyberster Owner - Drive to Switzerland

Thanks for the info. I'll keep it in mind when I get my car. Kind of a shame the the built in nav doesn't do this stuff already.

New Cyberster Owner - Drive to Switzerland

I read about that, but the article I saw also had a big security warning that OBDs are insecure and people can unlock the car with ease and gain entry, which immediately put me off. How do they work? How do you hook them up to the car and to ABRP?

New Cyberster Owner - Drive to Switzerland

Nice, glad to hear the car performed. A shame the in-built nav sounds like a disaster, but I guess everyone just uses Apple Maps/Google Maps/Waze these days anyway. I was tempted to give ABRP a go but it sounds like maybe I can save myself a subscription fee there and skip it. How did the...

RFID cards, why do they exist? (and how many do I need)

I've been an on and off user of EVs for several years (my wife is onto her second one), but we've tried to avoid going long distances in one for a bunch of reasons (her two cars - Renault Zoe and now a Fiat 500e have tiny ranges, they charge very slowly, and our experience with motorway charging...

New Cyberster Owner - Drive to Switzerland

I gather charging in France is in a pretty good place now, lots of high speed chargers. What's it like in Switzerland? I'm a bit of a frequent visitor to Switzerland, it's an amazing country, but I've only ever driven there in petrol cars.

    Advice on Granny chargers

£800! Holy cow. Looks like a nice little product but the price is a touch bracing!

    Advice on Granny chargers

Cash I ask where you bought the euro Granny from? And do you think they're worth buying Vs using a UK one with an adapter?

    Advice on Granny chargers

Hi all, quick question on granny chargers. I gather the Cyberster doesn't come with one, so I guess I'll need to buy one. I'll be using it mostly to charge overseas (France, Italy etc). I was planning to buy a more hardcore plug adapter than a regular travel one, something like this - Heavy...

Drive MG Leamington Spa - MG Dealer Discussion, Opinions & Experiences

I tried to book a test drive of a Cyberster through MG Leamington and they were nice and friendly as you would expect, booked up and ready to go. Then a couple of days before the drive one of the sales guys contacted me and said their boss (who uses the test Cyberster as his daily driver) wanted...

How are the doors in public car parks?

Thanks, that's good to know. Have you ever had any issues in multi story car parks with low ceilings?

How are the doors in public car parks?

Quick question for owners, how do the doors manage tight spaces in public car parks? I drive an MX-5, a pretty tiny car, and yet I often have 30cm or so to open the door in a public parking spot. Can the Cyberster's doors handle this type of thing okay? Have they ever refused to open or...

    Trophy vs GT

I managed to get a drive in a Trophy today. Took me a while to find one as dealers only seem to want to keep GTs as demos. My thoughts are that the Trophy seems plenty quick, I launched it a few times, and it was certainly smile inducing. I'll be test-driving the GT next week, so it will make...

    Trophy vs GT

4.6 mi/kWh is super impressive, that's more than my wife gets in her tiny Fiat 500e. And yeah if you could let me know how it fares at speed that would be great.

    Trophy vs GT

How are you finding range in your Trophy? How many miles per kw on the motorway?

    Trophy vs GT

Any Trophy owners able to chip in?

    Trophy vs GT

I had a dealer play down the range difference to me by saying the GT was probably only going to get 7-15 miles less than a Trophy. It's 100kg heavier, not an insignificant amount. What sort of range are you getting from your GT on motorways at 70mph?

    Trophy vs GT

October? Blimey. Here in the UK they seem to be in stock everywhere with dealers saying I can have one within a couple of weeks.
