Hi John
(1) "Does it need to be on Eco+ or Eco?" - It needs to be in ECO+
(2) "car's schedule" You can use the Cars to schedule the charge, in that case set the Zappi to FAST
You can also set the car to stop charging at a particular percent state of charge - if you don't do more than 100 in a...
Hi STG..
Can you confirm the charging mode is set to ECO+. It is easy to change this setting by touching the buttons on the front of the unit.
Of course you can check the mode in the [Charge Mode] on the screen.. And of course you know you can check the timer setting [MENU] (left button) then...
Hi pemmery1965 - and others considering a charger option!
If I'm not too late here are a few thoughts on choosing a home EV charge point.
If you are in rental accommodation and you can't take it with you if you have to leave - Do you really need one? Some people that don't do more that 100...
Hi... Do you still have it... I'm interested... Do you have PayPal?
Be patient if you reply I'm away for a few days and will check back in when I get home.. I'm sure we can work it out.
Sincerely and in Good Faith

Hi @bimbamboodle if you have a home charger for your ZS EV then you need to use that for 'scheduled' charging on a pre-face lift (2021/2022) 5 EV. If you have to use a 13amp granny charger then you can I suppose place a 'timer' on the plug socket to get some sort of 'scheduling'. On a rental...
Hi @AndyNWuk and @johnb80
I was down to choosing between the OHME Home Pro and the Zappi as they both have screens and on unit setting (without using any app). The OHME is a 'sealed' unit and I noticed in their small print that the sim card was free for 3 years. I contacted them to see what...

Hi Gabrielle
There is a lot of advice on which Charger and Installer for you to choose... API Electrical Ltd have all the chargers reviewed... here
For me I would also advise..
Tethered or Untethered... If it is tethered it can never be untethered and you will need another lead to take with...
Hi taxiterry
A few questions
Firstly what happened to the 7 years warranty?
What Mileage is on the clock? Do you charge regularly to 100%? What was the SoC on the day it failed? Have you ever run the battery down to zero%? I thought road side assistance was with the AA not the RAC - what reason...

You have really piqued my interest, I didn't know we could get a 'scanner'. Did you ever use the NEXAS NexLink with Car Scanner ELM OBD2 in Windows? I would have to use a laptop.
Interested in your thoughts
Sincerely
Martin
A member who had his car charger installed in an apartment block shared car park asked for a sign he could use to help him reserve the space for his car next to the charger. I knocked up half a dozen and the remaining few are posted on eBay (here) in case there are other members in the same...
OK so we agree that the car doesn't tell us when it has completed an equalisation or balancing of the battery cells.
So do we trust that it has? I can only speak for my zappi but our home chargers are suppose to be smart and record everything it does. If I look at the myeneri 'energy usage of...
@remarkable1967
Considering your original question "Advice on Wall Charger Wanted"! Did you ever come to any conclusions?
The attached notes are some I put together for the parents of a work colleague

Dear Lee..
I did my first equalisation charge in the day time and watched it on the smart meter (remote screen) you could see it 'slow' from 7.4 down through 6... 3... 1... 0.5... 0.3... stop...

Dear GuyMC
I was tossing up between Ohme Home Pro and zappi because of the interactive screen displays... What put me off the Ohme was when I read the details about the 'free 3 year sim card' and warranty. I contacted them to ask, with it being a sealed unit, what would happen after the 'free'...
@1MGEVUSER I guess the 'Easee One' is untethered... A little late for you... but others might be interested... I quite like the 'green' lead from screwfix...
@David B Has a nice short one the same colour as his car... very nice...
Always sincere..
Marin...
@1MGEVUSER and others watching..
Good question, I thought about it a lot while 'organising' my installation... I would say to anyone... if you can get it in the garage and charge with the door closed... Then go for it.. More secure, no flashing lights attracting unwanted attention in the dead...
@Les burrows
Your post above is a really good description of the three basic modes of the zappi - It would certainly have helped me when I was doing my research into which charger to purchase.
One thing I would also mention is that the amount of energy the zappi takes from solar (or other...
BugEye
240 volt single phase - 100 Amp main fuse - zappi is on a dedicated consumer unit with a B40 (30amp?) breaker. No solar etc..
