    Driving through a Ford

I have forded a few times without issue. However a recent video on YouTube documenting a ZS battery replacement appears to show the pack case isn’t fully sealed with some holes in it, closed up with rubber bungs.

    Worn out seat! Anyone else?

Passed 50 000 miles and recently the drivers seat (right hand drive) has cracked by the outside of my right thigh. Kevin on KC Talks has also had the same, blaming heavy jeans. I do not wear heavy jeans. Not great but liveable.

Post your MG ZS EV battery SOH data please

Rebalancing was about 20 charges, that depends though on how imbalanced it is afterwards. The original bulletin stated a tolerance beyond which it had to stay at the dealer, assuming the dealer actually read their bulletins. The first version was A01 followed by EU1 if I recall. The usable went...

URGENT INFO WANTED REGARDING MG ZS EV POWER LOSS ISSUE

Launch model owner here and let’s say of the first 200. If you have had the ZS serviced with all the updates applied, you shouldn’t now have any issues. However owners don’t always have their cars serviced properly and a number of dealers (note they aren’t owned by MG Motor) did not affect good...

Post your MG ZS EV battery SOH data please

Anticool, the cell voltage was just too high when shipped. Where the it did work was to beat the nearest competitor, the Leaf by 10% capacity. The BMS reduced the voltage and so the range. You will get more cycles and life it is applied. However on original tyres with reducing tread and rolling...

    Rear brake disc confusion

Slight addition required to correct the above on rear brake wear. Using the cruise cruise control disables regen and uses the rear brakes, increasing their wear. I also have symptoms on uneven wear due to this.

    Battery chemistry details for LR?

Gen 1 ZS was 532. At the launch everyone was moving to 811, would be surprised if some years later with the LR if that's not the case.

    How's my battery pack?

So here we are again. I thought I'd mention how to do a balancing charge that involves using a short off peak cheap rate window. Here I have Rolec and within the ev.energy app I have trickle charge enabled. Upon returning home in the evening I plug in and the charge starts immediately at a low 6...

    How's my battery pack?

Yes that video is a bit dated now, but it gives you an idea of capability iirc. The setup procedure has since been improved upon.
