Never had a problem with high power rapid chargers....but the speed is limited by the car to protect the battery, and is dependent on the state of charge and the temperature. When the ambient temperature is over 10C I have had approaching 70kW charging rates in summer. When it's really cold...
For AC charging (Home Charging or Type2) this uses the onboard charger to convert the AC to DC for the car battery being able to take the charge (the battery and car motor are DC). AC is better to move over large distances and is also easier to make. For DC charging (Rapid) essentially the...
Had this a couple of times.....it's when the cumulative range is reset, I think I created it myself on one occasion by a reset of the infotainment system. On another occasion I had it happen with the cumulative total clocking over 9999.
I've just worked it out....it appears that after a year of using it that the token to allow you to go straight into the app expires and then you need to login in manually to get a new token......but the login button doesn't work unless you click the tiny box next to the accept conditions and...
So this evening the MG App won't let me sign in.....it very briefly said token expired. I was able to change the password no issue with a security code sent back to me but the login button will not become active. Anyone had this or seen this? Spookily it is exactly a year since I got the car and...
Most of those things are in the facelift MG5 trophy...the missing ones are auto tail lift and wireless charger that e MG5 never got. Does it have vehicle to device as well?
Check the date on the tyres to get some idea if it has been sat around for some time before being sold to you. If so you may have have a flat spot on the tyres......there might also be a manufacturing date somewhere in your paperwork.
Thank you so much to those who went before on this....deleting the 2 files solved it and my MG5 now has up to date maps! In fact so up to date that it has a new road on it.....that should have been finished by now (classic government project!) but isn't!!
I just popped mine into the dealer and waited while they did it, it had come off the connector to the nozzle in my case and he fitted cable ties to keep it in place...no charge, 30mins and a free cup of coffee.
It happened to me after 6 months of owning it.....was nothing to do with MG, I was diluting it too much by adding water. the issue is there is no heat generated with EV's. I actually think a small heater in the reservoir would help tremendously if required.
So I have an Ohme charger and I suspect it isn't doing that....it seems to get a message back from the car at 100% and stops the session. Unlike in the PFL where as you say you can see the trickle charge taking place.
On the PFL you did this. Wait until it says on dashboard. "Finished Uncharged" White letters.
If the message is Finished and it is in Green colour then it is balancing.
Wait for the white message "Finished - Uncharged" and the whole process has been completed.
But how do you know it is...
I had the same last year, took it into dealer and they fixed it FOC in 10 minutes. They added a cable tie to where it had popped off. I now use neat windscreen washer liquid to avoid it freezing. It can also come off in the pillar on the front screen where the pipe goes over the roof to the...
