To help others make the correct decision when it comes to looking at buying an electric car.
Before I purchased my MG I joined this forum to help me decide if I was going to spend my money wisely so if I can help just one person make the correct decision then my job is done.
Sorry if my message...
Another reason to support why I got rid of mine - I really do feel your pain and just like you I certainly won’t be buying another electric car. A feel sorry for these company car drivers who probably have no choice in the matter.
All I can say is that my broke in just a couple of weeks from when I picked the brand new MG4 up and would they replace it? 100% No!!!
I waited 3 months chasing it with many photos back to MG and in the end I got so fed up with the car I sold it just after 4 months of ownership (they even...
Sorry ? Mine were also put in the bin! I’ve now traded the car in ( after only 6 months of ownership) with the whole footrest missing and they only took off the cost of the foot rest which I think was about £35.
To be honest it was better without probably because I’m 6ft and liked a good stretch...
I swapped mine over from the originals to CrossClimate 2’s after 1000 miles now I’m up to nearly 5000 miles and haven’t looked back since.
I changed mine for the exact same reason as you will find from doing a bit of research that tyres made in China are not the same as tyres made in the EU
Thanks for that everyone! After deleting my app / clearing cache / resetting password / on and off - I thought it was just me ?
Let’s hope they get it fixed soon everyone!!!
Trust me Mennox if you upgrade all your speakers with the improved sound quality you will be out for more than an hours ride ?
Sometimes on the way back from work I decide to take a slight detour just to experience that sport mode for a little while longer.
Mine currently comes up at around 189 at 100% which is very accurate in these winter conditions with the temp set to 21 and the occasionally traffic light pull off :giggle:
Hi Adiel,
You mentioned that your foot rest failed on you well this happened to mine after just 800 miles of owning mine and it has been nearly 2 months now with still no reply from MG if this is covered under their warranty or not? I've even started a separate post about failing foot rests as...
Back when I was 17 that so call tank cost me over £1000 to insure and that was only TPFT with just around 60bhp so can't imagine how much it would have cost back then to insure something with around the same power as the X Power :giggle:
Well there is one thing for sure and that's my Power is certainly a lot safer to drive both for the driver and especially for pedestrians than the Austin Allegro I used to drive many years ago! It was like driving a tank and remember one day only ' very ' slightly touching an XR4i with my...
It will be interesting to see what your local MG dealership says about it. I've been waiting over a month now and as yet still not heard anything back from them. (Apart from the usual 'That is very strange as we haven't heard that happening to anyone else.')
It started with a squeaking noise on...
Totally agree with you. The only advantage is now that I can stretch my leg on a long journey that I couldn’t do before. Compared to German cars the footrest is certainly higher on the MG and I’m going to look into maybe a more lower version of it. I think I’ve seen someone else who has...
Anyone else experienced a problem with their footrest?
It has been nearly 6 weeks now without any footrest and I'm still awaiting too hear back from the main dealer if the part is covered under warranty or not.
Just replace all the OEM speakers, including the tweeters, with upgraded ones along with additional sound insulation in all the doors and trust me it will make a HUGE difference. This was one of the very first upgrades I did to my MG4 along with upgrading all the OEM tyres.
