The Mini Countryman looks quite nice and fun but the model on display was almost £53K and it still came with manual seats which is quite poor. Lots of other better value cars. The EX30 looked quite nice although poor that only the top model includes a heat pump.
R5 looked quite nice but didn’t...
Is it constantly logging anything when running on your laptop i.e. are you sure its got any data?
It's really no different that two people sharing an email address. As soon as one person logs in the other person is kicked out, the API just sees someone access without the token and so generates...
As soon as the API is used to log in it takes ownership and it will result in all existing tokens being invalidated so if you are logged into your phone as well it will be logged out as soon as the API accesses the access. It means if your always running the API in something like HomeAssistant...
Yup but is it really needed? I know a number of people who have had their fluid tested and not 1 after 2 years needed their fluid changing at all so agree in theory but in practice I don't think its required, specially when the brakes are being used less and there is less movement etc for the...
Wow, the software updates will have been covered by warranty and paid for by MG central as they are not included in your service. Thats probably where the majority of the time was taken up.
Now it's just a "check" they aren't actually servicing the car any more. The 2 year is only more because...
This is why I just don't trust meet and greet. I will only use Valet parking that use on site storage. That way you know its never going to leave site and thus not much point in driving it.
Worth checking the terms and conditions - they will probably say they were moving it between sites no...
We had a similar frustration today having put the car in for the service - before we filled in a questionnaire about the problems we had been having.
Required the car all day to complete the (most basic) service and told they need the car in again to look into the other issues and the earliest...
I suspect it's not actually going to make much difference.
I think the problem is most companies don't actually design the implementation and just think throw it all in a screen. If it's done properly, the right things are kept as buttons then IMO screens are OK for most.
During 99% of my...
The service does not include any type of updates. Updates are not a free offering. They are essentially a paid for change (for MG at least)
If you want them to be free you need to complain saying you have a problem. If you do that your then able to get it under the warranty but its only because...
Well after giving the R46 a few weeks of use we can certainly say it's far from fixed, multiple instance of CarPlay just hanging and then the unit locking up. Bluetooth still often just doesn't connect and then another journey randomly will connect. Very disappointing
It's mind boggling how it...
We had R46 applied to ours yesterday to fix all the BT problems. So far so good, hasn't forgotten the connection so far.
Apple Play appears to be a little more flakey than before :(. Hoping its just a blip
Agreed - I think there have been lots of debates because some are saying no updates at all.
I have no expectation at all that one-pedal driving would be enabled on the older models as it makes no sense to. If people want it they upgrade, but I would expect all the bugs that are still there...
On Facebook group someone also has had the R46 applied to a a ver1 ‘22 car so it does look like it will apply to all. The feature toggles like track mode etc are obviously controlled separately
Ours is in for fixes in a few weeks so will see what happens
I think we will see more manufacturers doing this as it's now much much easier to create a quick car. Throw 2 big motors in there and you have a fast 0-60.
Making it handle nicely is a whole different battle.
