No, the HV comes with a socket. Personally I prefer not to use the socket as I want to let air circulate to help remove any moisture that might have got into the plug.

I have a Hypervolt which IMV looks far better than the Zappi not least because of the cable stowage. Solar integration is essential for me, so those two and Andersen were the only choices when I bought about 18 months ago.

Surely if you are trying to maximise m/kWh you would use KERS1 rather than KERS3. If you want to slow from say 50mph to 30mph you will lift off the throttle earlier if you are in KERS1, therefore using less energy than if you stayed at the higher speed for longer so that you could use KERS3...

That's exactly the sort of thing I'm looking for; I just need to get the right thread bolt, which is proving tricky.

My shins can confirm that. On a rally car I plan to fit a tow strap rather than the eye - if I can find one with the correct thread and which doesn't protrude beyond the bumper. I haven't looked at my MG5 to see if that would be possible in this case.
