...Thought this may be useful if anyone gets multiple system faults come up after a 12 V battery disconnect "reset". I had a "radio moduledisconnected" fault come up on the infotainment system. Tried the infotainment reset method, didn't work. Then disconnected the neg 12V battery leg for a few...
It just happened to me today. 12V battery completely dead even though was normal yesterday afternoon.
I just changed the battery and now, the 'Radio Module Disconnect" is back to normal and all the radios working.
But now, when I switch the car on, it performs all the checks one by one.. fail a...
Suggest the battery is disconnected to reset the radiomodule soonest as my battery was drained. The aa felt the radiomodule was the culprit as the car was constantly trying to initialise even when turned off. No problems with battery since.
I had this today when I was trying to update. It's because you've got the error so there is no dab version shown. If you disconnect the 12V battery and then reconnect, the error will clear and the current dab version will be shown. You can then click the update button to apply the new file
I have no figure for this month as I had the RadioModuleDisconnected fault.
This then drained the 12v battety and gave me a low 12v battery warning last week and yesterday the 12v battery was dead and I had to use my booster pack to start the car.
This then reset the trip counter. The car was...
Thanks for letting us know.
We still have the car, currently on a trip to Europe.
Annoyingly (to diagnose the issue) it’s been fine since I did a 12V disconnect, in the UK the error came back in a few days after doing that.
Did Wareham diagnose and correct the issue or just diagnose it...
There is a hardware issue with the radio transmission module that needs replacing. It took a few days to arrive and then 2 weeks to a slot in the dealership to fix it. In my case no need to replace the 12v battery.
...and it could be related to a radiomodule fault, where the module continually drains the 12V..I also occasionally get the radiomoduledisconnected fault, which is probably related. Am booking car into Purbeck MG to check if radiomodule needs to be replaced.
Of course, you may have already...
I've just had a flat 12v on my 21 plate MG5, after leaving it standing for only 4 days. A few days prior to this I got the RadioModuleDisconnected error. I usually clear this by disconnecting the 12v but hadn't got round to it this time. Is there definitely a fix for this radiomodule thing...
Apparently they are not rusty enough but it is going in for the RadioModuleDisconnected faulty again so I will get them to check to see if they have got worse.
Mother on a bike !.... I have mine booked into them to have it updated in November... yes November... looks like i'll have to take it elsewhere now.
Going forward, looks like approved independent EV garages is the way to go.
I could think of a few other things that could do with a spray, wee bit loosening up needed
I think it goes back to what a member said yesterday or earlier in the week, MG are struggling to get proper ev techs trained up.
And there is a general skill shortage and techs are getting poached by...
I am trying to get my Radiomoduledisconnected fault sorted and have been told Richmond Southampton no longer service MG's they need to go somewhere in Botley. Still waiting for a call from the service manager.
Don’t count on that. I have my ZS EV 2 1/2 years and have changed the 12v battery twice!!
The “RadioModuleDisconnected” sign came up only about 10 days after installing the 2nd new battery ie same sign as with the first battery before it went completely flat. The Dealers extremely unhelpful...
I have a mg hs phev
the radio is not woking and the message reads "radio moduledisconnected"
Is this something I can fix or do I have to go to the main dealer ? any advice appreciated
...in Southampton. I had a flat battery twice in a new ZS in 2 1/2 years. Now I changed my battery and only after 10 days the “RadioModuleDisconnected” came on the screen. I had the same message twice with the original/previous battery before going flat. Therefore there is a manufacturers’...
UPDATE: Has been back to dealer today, they "forgot" to replace a fuse when car was in a week ago for the disconnectedradiomodule hence no cruise control or lane assist!
Car went to dealers to fix previous fault where radiomoduledisconnected and now I have no cruise control. I guess that's another visit to the dealer unless the collective mind are able to offer a quick fix?
Had a similar issue recently, left the car at airport parking for 2 days and the battery was dead on our arrival, had to call AA etc. The issue solved itself since, i suspect that 12v battery got discharged as infotainment wasn't switching off fully. Prior to the issue we had "radio module...
