Anyone else seeing the difference between the 14V battery reading on the dashboard and within the app? Any idea which one is right and what the expected reading should be? 13.8V on the dashboard and 14.4 on the app!?!
Hi all,
For the last month or so the car has stopped charging at 97% when we set it up to charge for a long trip mode and reach 100%.
Is there something that we need to bring up with the garage? This has happened for both slow chargers and the fast charger. See the email from the Phone app...
My wife and I have iPhones (15 and 13 Pro Max) updated to the latest version of iOS (17.4.1)
We have noticed in the last couple of weeks that CarPlay just disconnects after a few minutes of use and will not reconnect to the phone. We have tried different cables, also rebooted our phones and the...
Just got my insurance renewal with LV. From £604 to £1120. Increase of 85%!!!
One minor incident this year where we were scammed by someone saying we reversed into him and insurance settled for a fixed cost of £500. No claims bonus protected though and have full NCB of 10 Years. Incredible....
Has anyone here recently had problems renewing their insurance?
Read this article on Apple News from The Guardian, and wonder if any MG drivers are experiencing the issues reported by some Tesla owners. £5K per year insurance??? Surely not…

Hi all,
Got my new iPhone and finally tried to connect to the MG. The phone has now ditched the lightning port in favour of USB-C.
Plugging it the USB-C port under the infotainment system does nothing. No charge, no Airplay. I will try with another cable and also one of those USB3.0 to USB-C...
Same for me. I just had software updated and was told the issue would be fixed. It wasn’t. Three days after the software update the 1st Jan 2019 message returned. I have now switched off the voice and weather announcement settings.
We have been just told by our dealer that the charging point flap, which was shapped off when some tool reversed into the car while it was charging, is going to take 3-4 months to arrive. Another car at the dealership is waiting for the part, and it was ordered in October!
I am starting to...
Yup, looks like I am out of pocket for 2h labour and a £35 part cost, which will run to £300 plus the inconvenience of losing the car for a day. May combine it with the annual service to cut down on the time the car spends at the garage.
The charging point was on the passenger side so the cable did not go over the flap. This was purely someone reversing too much, not paying attention to his sensors (it was a white BMW) and just snapped the flap by pushing it too far back.
I hope nothing happens to his side mirrors or tyres in...
The car was charging at the time and the socket and plug are fine.
The charge was completing when we got to the car, so it went from 30 to 100% with no problems. We just saw the broken door when we went to unplug in the morning.
So charged the car overnight at the resident bays we have in Central London and came to the car this morning with the flap snapped. Clearly the guy in front reversed too much as he was parking and snapped it.
Obviously did not leave a note, or cared that much.
Always thought the placement of...
The app is definitely iffy. My wife went back to the car changed to 100%. I was able to move it around a couple of times to 100 down to 70 back to 80. Then it stoped allowing me to set the charge %.
They messed up with the update.
Same problem for me. I cannot move the slide and by mistake the car was set to charge to 40% when I left it. Now need to go back to the car, 3 blocks away to change it on the infotainment screen as they broke the adjustment tool in the iOS app.
Absolute morons….
My view is that false warnings on the dashboard make the warning indicator useless, which I believe popped up when I had a flat tyre overnight, so they really should sort it out. I am taking the car in for a software update next week, but not holding my breath. The next step is MG replacing a...
