So. MG4. FWD or RWD ? 🤔.
As far as I'm aware it's RWD.
Until yesterday when I visited a friend, reversed up their gravel drive up a reasonable incline. Took it easy so as to not disturb the gravel too much. Was quite pleased with the way it was going until the front wheels got on the gravel...
Just wondering ( apologies if this is a duplicated query). - where is your domestic charger located, in garage or outdoors ( or elsewhere?) .
Came across a video of someones Merc going up in flames while charging at home. One of the comments was that this was why you shouldn't charge in garages...
Just had my first fight with a Tesla driver queueing at John Lewis Cribbs Causeway.
I've used these chargers about 4 times now and there's always been around half a dozen chargers free when I arrived.
Today, full ?.
Not being familiar with the protocol here I accidentally pushed in... No honest...
Good but not good ?
Obviously good news in reduced insurance premiums but I'm not confident enough in the tech to want to be using it. Wonder what the implications will be ? ?
Thoughts ?
Hands up all those that are somewhat irritated by Octopus price rise due to the increase in the rise of the price of gas ?? ?✋✋✋✋.
I'm an electric only household and my service provider is leading edge on providing renewables. - Somewhat irritated!
Got stuck in a 45 minute jam on the A30 today....eventually crawled to where the hold up was. Waze stated it was an accident. It wasn't . It was a burnt out vehicle heading in the opposite direction. 1 x fire tender & 1 x cop car in attendance. Traffic chaos
As we approached I worked out it was...
For all of the tech/auto/assists I'm saying I don't want or need, I just discovered how much I love the autobrake when drivers door's open facility.
Got home, reversed into drive chatting with wife about the success of our road trip ( we don't get out much ).
Went to climb out and the car shot...
As my period of taking the full glory of owning a new '24 reg car ( my first ownership from new) comes to an end on Sunday I've invested in a private reg to swap in when '74 becomes 'the thing' , Sunday....or mebbes Monday, depending on admin availability. A couple of queries if I may ?
1. Can...
Just thinking about how much our holiday fuel cost.
1000 mile trip.
£80 worth of public charger network ( mostly Tesla member rates)
= 8p / mile ??
Seems reasonable.
To be fair I'd charged to 100% on solar before leaving and upon return, so freebies and paid £9 Tesla monthly subscription, but...
Go Team Red!!
1000 mile round trip, car still looking good. 200 yds to home and went down a road tractors had been rallying out of the fields on!! ?.
Spit n polish required ?
Having just done a 1000 mile round trip on mainly motorways ( incl. Cornish equivalent A30) I noticed an interesting thing re consumption several times. Driving at speeds upto speed limitish, say 50-70, consumption was showing 2.6 - 2.9 ( again, ish). And not that I ever would, but should I have...
Following a thousand mile round trip from pointy end of Cornwall to the Lake District ( UK) and back again over the last week, I have to reiterate ( with no sweary bits this time) this is a truly amazing car. Not a single hiccup ( bar weird infotainment recycling itself for 2 hours /50 miles...
Car has done 2k miles with not a hiccup on Android auto. Did 250 miles yesterday, no problem.
Today, 50 miles no problem then started cycling. Always used Waze (GPS) and VLC (tunes). It is resetting to same point in both over about 10 second period. Have powered phone off/on a couple of times...
In my old 2018 kia Soul there was plenty of useful onboard power supplies including a 12v in the boot which I used to use to transport chilled stuff in an Outwell coolbox. This is ac/dc switchable so when I got to my destination I'd put it on the DC supply of the property I'm staying in.
Zoom...
Done bloke looking ?. Have seen posts including start up error messages that clear with reset or reboot ( or patience), but can't find this one.
I didn't bother with the autohold feature for the first couple of months after taking delivery but then thought I'd give it a go. Got used to it and...
As one of the few and far between allowances for not wearing a seatbelt in the UK, why does my MG4 prevent me from moving when I'm in reverse until I connect my seatbelt ( sometimes) ?
So, my wife happened to mention a couple of weeks ago that she'd like a pad for the MG4 seatbelt as she finds it a little uncomfortable.
I was lucky enough to find a pair of these on Etsy at a very reasonable price.
Thanks Keith ...
Had a call from the sales rep that sold me the car in February today, general catch up and how ya doin'. During the course of the conversation ( I was asking how sales are going as I'm seeing a lot more around now ) he said that there was a facelift model and an estate coming later this year...
