I have just become aware of an app that gives 20% discount at some of the most popular charge operators for a monthly fee. The app is Plugsurfing and covers - Connected Kerb, Fuuse Ltd., Mer UK, Instavolt, Ionity, and Osprey Charging Network Ltd. Cost is £6.90 / month. Without subscription usual...
I have noticed quite a few folks on here seem wary of divulging their location on their visible profile.
Just curious as to the reasons. A general idea may occasionally help answers if needed.
I promise I wont come stalking and as you can all see (hopefully) mine is set Leeds, others have set as...
Well of course they are....aren't they ?
Yes EVs are expensive, mostly, but I have been astounded by the price of new cars in general for some time. One of the many reasons I bought my first EV in 2020 was down to price. It was cheaper to my new ZS EV than to buy a Ford Focus, or any other...
Using their app only..
on the 20th 20% discount
on the 21st 21% discount
on the 22nd 22% discount
on the 23rd 23% discount
on the 24th 24% discount
on the 25th 100% discount
In theory the speedo should show on Google maps after a recentish (1 year ?) update. I for the life of me cannot get it to appear. Has anyone else had any success ?
Speedo works fine on Waze.
I have done an online price guaranteed quote for a small PV install and battery with Heatable, which seems remarkably good value. Their online reviews look very good too.
Does anyone have any personal experience of this company, are they really that good and reasonably priced ?
Anyone else notice a price increase on the Tesla open to all chargers since last weekend ?
I did recent charges while away at Banbury and Portsmouth both were 34p off peak, now 51p and 52p off peak.
I no longer have the car but I have a brand new unused/unopened, although purchased a good while ago, genuine MG OEM Piccadilly Blue touch up pen.
I believe new price is on the £15-20 range, open to any offers if anyone wants it.
I am based in Leeds.
According to this article which seems fairly authoritative so have 50% of everyone else. Tyre rotation completely the wrong way round. Now I have learned something.

I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned, or at least I haven't seen it on this forum yet :)
Gridserve have launched their own charging app. Now a lot of us can get quite annoyed about the need for apps but when you install this one it offers a 20% discount off 'pump' prices until the end of...
Just to briefly say I will be trading in my lovely MG5 pre-facelift Executive this week for different EV.
I am getting a Hyundai Kona Ultimate, not brand new, the old shape just over a year old.
The reason for this is not because I don't love my 5, I do, it's great and will probably be great...
I previously had a Mk1 ZS EV and have some shades that fit to the rear side windows. Never used as couldn't work out how to fit them properly.
Probably suitable for all ZSs.
Free to anyone wanting them for collection in Leeds or can meet a reasonable distance/drive away.
.
As VAT on standalone and retrofit batteries is reduced to 0% from Feb 1st, it makes installing them a slightly more viable option. My roof is unsuitable for solar panels so standalone is my only real option.
Was wondering what a reasonable price for install alone would be for a Givenergy all in...
Having had the car for 2 years and a ZS EV before that for a year I had never used the parking brake switch on either car until this last weekend. :)
I had always found the footbrake, Autohold and Park to cover all my needs for holding the car when stopped. However for some reason sat at lights...
The VCU has been mentioned in several threads* recently and that there is an update for it. There are hopes this update will cure all ills.
I hadn't got a clue what it was so looked it up and if anyone else is the same boat (or EV) then basically it is the Vehicle Control Unit that communicates...
