I came across this on a friends car repairs. She had a none fault accident where the third party pulled out on her.
During the repairs we visited to look at the progress and found that the garage were using second hand parts (in this case a door and mirror - plus other items). She wasn’t told...
I’m always reluctant to spend a lot of money on a car and get zero discount - just doesn’t sit well with me.
A car with a lot of hype at launch like the Cyberster I guess falls into this category.
I wonder what used Cybersters will be going for in 12 Months time?
Good condition fully working 7kW tethered Pod Point Solo charger. I have just had it replaced with a solar model. Midlands area. Looking for around £200. Thanks!
Some cities seem to allow driving in bus lanes 24/7 for EV’s. Not sure how widespread this is.
Of course all users can drive in the bus lane outside limited times - if it is a bus lane that has these time limitations on the sign. Although most users don’t know this.
Does your area allow EV’s...

Does anyone know what impact the load rating has on tyres? To explain, I need minimum 94V (V is the speed rating), and can get a 98W tyre a little cheaper but same quality/size etc. (it’s also rated a little quieter…) will the increased load rating make any difference? Thank you!
I might be a bit late to the party, but I noticed that Shell are showing charging prices on a display not dissimilar to petrol and diesel price displays.
64p in bright green numbers.
Still crazy high but at least you can see the price before you decide to stop or as you drive past to charge...
Thought as a change (this forum says talk about anything that you want) we could post a few favourite jokes.
my starter:
“I thought that I saw a super hero once when I was a boy. It turned out to be just a depressed clown throwing himself off a building.”
Quite a few changes planned going forward. I’ve seen some chat online about speed assist systems defaulting to on for each new cycle…
It’s coming i feel.

Yes - another MG4 review video!
I found this one particularly interesting as I’ve seen criticism of the HVAC and Regen controls being buried in the infotainment menu.
Here, he uses the steering wheel to manage both areas…
Does anyone also do this on their car?
Hi there,
I’m not that regular on these forums as I was, since selling my ZS. I still pop in now and then as it’s a great forum!
My Daughter likes the MG4 in orange colour and we are seriously thinking of ordering. We’ve been told about 16 weeks wait.
There’s loads of great posts about the...
Hello everyone,
I appreciate there’s a lot of chat on electricity prices. I thought that I would quickly share mine.
I’ve been with Octopus for a while now and my current rates are:
Standing charge; 25p/day
00.30-04.30hrs: 5p/KwHr
04.30-0030: 13.72p/KwHr
So in todays environment I’ve had a...
I recently started a discussion about how EV’s and their use of regen changes the way we brake and how convent friction brakes haven’t changed. I thought that this article has some interesting points.
It struck me that on some EV’s regenerative braking can be quite strong. We know that friction brakes don’t get much use. Are we just a small step away from completely removing friction brakes and using purely regen? I assume that the software and motors could be configured to brake the car with...
I drove behind one of these today. Nice looking van - thought it was a Ford transit! I had no idea SAIC produced vans in the UK.
