I can't seem to clip the replacement cover with the dashcam. It is wobbly and doesn't want to clip on..
Is drilling a hole and screwing those in the only option ? @javiermi ?
having started with
Leaf30
Outlander Phev
HS Phev
The ZS SE camera resolution (front and reversing) is really bad putting this lightly . Is there any way to replace those with HS equivalent?
Having sold the HS Phe last summer, I thought that was the end of MG for now.. Alas accident in Leaf meant we needed a new car. I was hoping that Hyundai Kona would prove a decent fit but it was too cramped.
ZS facelift is very spacious for passengers just like the HS.
Budget was cheap and...
Over the last 11 months / 11k miles, I have seen drivers complain about HS Phev exiting EV mode without any conditions listed in manual. I’ve personally encountered this and managed to reproduce this regularly.

Manual mentions that the car starts in EV mode if it was switched off in EV mode - pages from manual inserted below.
I observed it being off in 2 distinct situations - always off when car is charged. The other is a bit random and I have not been able to put a finger on it except that the...
So just had a stone chip the windscreen. Heard there is no glass and has to be ordered from MG / SAIC China. Lets hope I can use resin and stop it from fully cracking. Grrrr its a 2 week old car
MG has chosen really hard plastic for charge port cover. I worry that every time it bangs against the car, it will scratch the paint. EVSE cover didn’t help either. Is slightly softer but not much.
I’m doing this but I need something better like Leaf / Outlander: sprung cover that can be opened...
There is an issue with the MG brick or MG PDM. So far from my testing, it only works if the supply is on when the cable is connected. If the supply is disconnected (smart switch in my case), I have noticed no charge when timer kicks in.
Never had this issue with Leaf30 or Outlander Phev before...
I hear a distinct noise of something significant rotating at low speeds. It disappears when car hits 10 mph. I’m certain this isn’t pedestrian warning system as it has a distinctive whistle is similar to Leaf.
Has anyone that observed this?
