My charger starting tripping out during charging. Indra over the phone said had the supply tripped. It had not. But the charge had simply stopped. So Indra said to switch off at the trip and back on and the charger worked again. For another 3 or 4 kWh. Then tripped again. Eventually Indra sent...
I regularly use Cobham as I like the availability and layout of the IONITY chargers. As you drive into the car park you go right to the far end before you can enter the parking bays. Turn right and immediately right again (180 deg.) so you go back towards the entrance and there are all the...
I got the dealer to adjust the main beam (for free, under warranty). They lowered the right hand one and its now a useful light ahead on the road but still leaves a dark patch between dipped and main. Liveable with but I intend to try making my own adjustment.
Mine was reset after a software update. But then totally randomly it had reset anther 1000 miles or so later. I'm absolutely convinced I did not reset it (long hold on the square button). Also, I had the strange experience of seeing the mileage NOT reset after a charge, which means I've got a...
I'd be interested to know what depth of flood water you safely got through, so if I'm ever facing a flooded road I can check whether I must back away or can proceed?
Have just checked my UK registered MG4 Trophy and, just like other replies, I found it identified the Country as Cyprus. So I changed that to the UK and the correct 0800 number came up. Hope I never need to use it! But thank you for those who have reported their experiences here.
Dealer reset the main beam. Not perfect but adequate for seeing further ahead than dipped beam. I also love the auto beam change between dipped and main.
I booked my 2 month old MG4 Trophy in to investigate zero regeneration showing on the battery screen and the dealer said that's fine it is due a recall software update. So I asked for details of the software update. This is what they told me: "carried out recall scuk001 reprogram bcm, fdr...
My Trophy’s dipped beam is perfect. But only just got to do a night drive on unlit country roads and the main bean lit up the trees above leaving a disconcerting dark patch at end extremity of the dipped beam’s reach.
Soon to get my MG4 Trophy. On my current diesel Honda Civic I can nudge cruise control up or down by 1 mph or alter a setting by up or down to the nearest 10 mph. Does MG only give the +/- 5mph?
Ah, however, beware: I’ve seen a video that shows low objects don’t appear on the rear view camera as you get close to them, just when you need it. Watch out for 9 inch walls!
Got an excited sales rep phone message a week ago saying my red MG4 Trophy was at a UK port. He wondered if I wanted it by Friday. Glad I didn’t sell my current car yet as no news of delivery from the port and he’s no way of finding out where my car is in the delivery queue
I’m preparing myself for driving my MG4 Trophy and learning techniques for automatic transmission as all my previous cars have been manual. BMW had a useful guide in this telephone call. Enjoy:
Saw IPA on this thread. Reminded me of my recent visit to Greene King brewery in Bury St Edmunds. Story is they bought up a brewery in Abingdon where they brewed Old Speckled Hen, whose bottle label borrowed its shape from the neighbouring car factory: MG. It’s an octagonal label!
