This was indeed the case. 4 leaves on the fan blades. Were a right royal pain in the arse to remove through the small opening of the pollen filter! Noise has gone now though, so time well spent.
First impressions of Evans Halshaw MG Grantham… not great. I booked mine in for its 2nd service for 5 days later and they called me the day before to say the parts won’t be there at the time selected. Had to book another time slot. Drop car off, the service is carried out, was informed the...
Yes you make a fair point about the poor staff there, I imagine it was a shock to them as well as us.

Well this is news to me! Trying to book second service with them today, phone rings to answerphone. For all the people saying how great the service there was… so great they failed to tell existing customers they’ll need to go elsewhere because we’re closing!
An update for you! Repair estimate came in at £4000! Unsurprisingly he now wants to go through insurance, after accepting full liability. Still very inconvenient, but hopefully it'll be sorted soon enough. And hopefully they give me an EV as courtesy car...
Gutted my ZS has been reversed into today in a retail park car park. The old boy who did it, his car is, predictably undamaged because he hit mine with his towbar!
It’s done the lower rear drivers door, lower plastic sill piece, dented the rear lower arch/sill itself, wheel trim and damaged the...
A courtesy light in the back, for rear passengers. Actual functioning speakers in the back doors. Faster than 38kW charging in the winter. Not much to ask, really.
The second service is due end of May on my ZS. I have a pre-paid service plan, and was wondering if the dealer with who the plan is with will contact me to arrange the service, or will I have to ring them and get them to book it?

It ain’t happening bro. That’s the nature of EVs I’m afraid. The plus side is you’ll get a very decent range above that in the warmer months, so it’s swings and roundabouts.
Same here. Quite disappointing really. Not sure if turning on battery heating prior to fast charging would improve things much, either.
Fortunately it’s much better in spring/summer where you’d traditionally be going on longer trips more frequently, so it’s overall an ‘ok’ thing to have to put...
Tyre pressure of course varies with temperature - it was very cold today when this was taken. In double digit temperatures they are indeed 2.8 bar. Plus all we’re talking about ±4 psi here!
The point is it’s claiming only 1 tyre is abnormal, despite them all being the same pressure!
These colder temperatures really are a killler; got - - - on the estimated range remaining today for the first time. 6% state of charge remaining, but had two big hills to get up before I made it home. I was actually wondering if it would make it.
Anyone know if there is a buffer below 0%?
Visited a small shopping centre near me yesterday. Offered free charging (which didn’t work), however as I was walking off I noticed the car next to me - Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV - had padlocked his charge cable to his rear wheel. I kid you not. Appeared to be an older chap, presumably unaware...
This whole story stinks to be honest. My money's on a legacy manufacturer trying to dent the increasing sales numbers of the new and smaller brands by lacing legacy ‘news’ outlets with non-stories like this.
Always charged to 100% - it's the Standard Range ZS I have, but will usually sit at 92% charge after being driven back from work where it is most often charged from.
It finally finished after about 3.75 hours!
My ZS has reached 100% charge but is still pulling 1.66kW for over 3 hours now! Anyone know what’s going on? Never noticed this behaviour before, it usually ramps down and sits at 0.10kW for a few minutes after charge completion, but never this before!!
