Spray didn't help, took it to service today, they replaced the door so apparently it was broken. Again I have to applaud our dealer (Hedin) for its quick service. The only question is, why did it break so soon?
Recently I've been getting "Charging Door Open" message a lot even though it is not. It used to go away when re-opening and closing, but for a few days nothing helped and the message was stuck on the display. Until today, it was gone again.
I have never had freezing problems as I use plenty of...
Sounds like the same issue.
Rebooting infotainment with home button does not help, all the faults will just pop up again. I will check the status of 12V battery next time. I don't remember having trouble with pushing the brake prematurely. If I had to wait for the lazy-ass infotainment to boot...
I think I've seen this problem mentioned here before but can't find the old thread. It's now happened three times: I sit in driver's seat, the car turns on, every possible fault is displayed and the cars refuses to switch to drive or reverse. The only solution is to leave, lock the car and come...
Defrost is indeed gone, it's been very cold lately and it never switches on through iSmart. The defrost option was definitely more efficient. Why on earth was it removed?
Luckily I can now set the temperature to maximum, which will defrost the frozen windshield in 10 minutes, but I think it was...
Your SE actually limits regeneration when cold? I have not noticed any decrease in regeneration ever no matter how cold. Maybe there is, but it is indiscernable. Only when battery is full, regen is limited and then I can definitely feel it as using brakes requires a harder push of the pedal.
Took it to the service the next day and they fixed it under warranty, and also updated LKA software (though I think it's exactly the same as I'm not experiencing any difference...)
It was freezing one day and one of the wipers got stuck while the other moved a little, so now they are misaligned. Is this something that's easily fixable by yourself? I already made a service request in case it is not.
I tried blocking the vent last winter when it was minus 20-30 degrees celsius and all I got was extremely misty windows and no sign of decreased consumption. Haven't bothered with it since.
But will the defrost switch on when it gets really cold? I need to be prepared if it no longer works. Last winter at least 10 minutes of defrost was required to melt the rock-hard ice. I'm not going back to scraping windows and will start looking for alternatives if they made the app winter...
So they made the app even worse than a year ago?? Last winter the defrost button used to be always on when toggled remotely by the iSmart app. Now as it's getting colder every day (close to 0 degrees celsius), I noticed it never sets defrost on, only A/C. Also it seems to blow air into the...
It's a constant hassle with a dog, so I'd rather leave her in the car and leave the A/C on, but that means you have to leave the doors unlocked which is not a good idea, even for ten minutes. Is there any way around this?
Yeah, it goes away for a while, but at some point, comes back again. I've never been able to disable the popup permanently despite always ticking the box.
It's been very hot for two weeks (around 25-30°C) and today as I stepped in my car, a notification popped up saying ambient temperature is low and whether I should turn intelligent battery heating on.
The car has a weird sense of humor or its sensors have actually suffered from some kind of...
And that's why I'm gonna drive mine until the battery fails and it is no longer usable. If sooner than in 10 years, it was a bad investment. If later, then good.
What is this "Intelligent speed limiter", is it something that comes with recent updates? I don't want any more unnecessary pushing of buttons to switch some new half-baked garbage feature off before taking off.
I don't think there is much reassuring to do as you already decided it is a hateful car. You can always sell it. I don't hate mine as it does its job alright, but it would be SO much better if MG actually fixed the usability issues. But as it turns out they seem to sell very well due to their...
Obviously they are trying to sell the car as much as possible, and having LKA permanently off helps. If it's a demo car there are no repercussions for turning it off permanently.
The consumer will of course feel deceived and pissed off to the maximum when he/she finds out it cannot be turn off...
With the loading indicator spinning and trying to perform any action, I get this message. They couldn't bother to set the buttons and other controls to a disabled state while the app is retrieving data just shows how hastily the app was made.
