We have a new Aldi beside us and the chargers are Shell recharge ( NewMotion) units 22kwh. They are not free, they are not as signage on carpark states, ‘ just plug in and go shop’ You will require a card to use these units. When I asked in store this was the case, they stated you needed a card...
Like other post stated, it’s over priced, wouldn’t worry about mileage but would be looking at considerably less on purchase price because of mileage. Keep for a couple of years doing low miles and it comes back into mainline mileage for year.
The 80% charge thing as you call it is to your benefit as much as others. If you did a direct comparison to someone that persists on charging to 100% on a long journey they would not complete the journey before somebody doing same journey charging to 80% as they will always charge faster so even...
I think all Manufacturers are experiencing problems in delivery. If you have been given an expected delivery of 4 months that does seem long going by past delivery times but in todays market it isn’t bad. For instance a factory order on a new Skoda Enyaq EV is at least 13months and that is not...
I suppose the only cap is if a charger has an overstay charge then there is a financial penalty for overstay. It is etiquette to charge to 80% as it has been proved that last 20% could take as long as it did to get you rapidly to 80% and it is far quicker to go to your next charge point and do a...
This is a Known issue on EV’s as most of your braking is done by the regen on the motor which means your actual brakes are used very little, therefore are more prone to rusting/ sticking thru lack of use.
I was advised when first getting an EV to once a week do at least one journey with no regen...
You don’t have to stay with vehicle but you have to appreciate charge will probably be for only 45 min average after that many rapids will charge an overstay charge.
They allow you to have the windows slightly open with no noticeable problems which you can’t do without them. I would say they definitely make a difference to driving with the window partially open
I purchased mine on Ebay and yes it did state not compatible on EV, went to dealer looked at a non EV ZS and there is no difference between the cars. Purchased them and they fit no problem at all, really don’t understand why it states not compatible with EV when there are no difference in the car.
Nothing unusual there, you will see that on any brake disc. Let’s face it you are looking at bare metal disc it is bound to rust over time unless you want to spend multiple thousands of pounds on ceramic brakes. ??
There is an update for the infotainment screen going blank and it speeds up the response, it was released in the last month, contact your dealer for software update.
We are getting a Skoda Enyaq 80iv. We were considering keeping the MG as a second car but I’m retiring end of year and we probably won’t need 2 cars so the opportunity arose for a good offer and we thought it best to take the money and run.?
Sold my car today. Was going to sell due to new car arriving Oct but prices on second hand cars is strong at moment so took the opportunity of a good price. Going to miss the MG ZS, wife is in tears, she loved that car ??
It took 2 months of continual charging everyday To get my car back to anything close to its previous range performance. I only took the battery down small amounts, approx 97% then recharge again, during this period it was erratic in its performance but then one day it just stopped doing all the...
This is the problem with MG UK they say there is a ZS coming with more range but don’t elaborate on that statement. I would have been happy to buy another one with a suitably higher range but I suspect the one coming will be the same as the Indian variant which is just over 200mls, that I’m...
