That's strange then. Mine seems worse now the cold weather is here. I'll have to get under it and have someone move the steering while I look. Cheers mate
This has reminded me that back in June this year while I was on holiday in Albufeira, the only English plated car I saw was amazingly an MG5, doesn't happen to be anyone on here does it?
I know what you mean, I'm used to working on rusty cars so to do a job on a near new car was like heaven. Hence the quick turnaround. Amazing how much time you can save when not having to deal with seized joints or rounded off bolts!
I had a look at the warranty before I decided to do the mods. As my car is a 2021 nothing is now under warranty with the exception of the battery (7 years).
I try not to let the insurance get in the way of me enjoying a car but I can see your point if yours is to drive around as cheaply as possible. My insurers charged me £10 extra for the alloy wheels and £25 for the springs, nothing for the window tint thankfully. But I also insure a Fiesta which...
Vehicle Handling Solutions are middle men for the Eibach Springs, they're advertised wrongly as 25mm but are actually 30mm front and 35mm rear. The ride height will be as on my car.
I purchased mine from a German seller on eBay but I can't find the listing I bought from. If you search "MG5...
On the standard alloys and Bridgestones yes it would wheelspin in the wet easily, since changing to bigger wheels and wider tyres it won't even spin in Sport mode in the wet from standstill. Just takes off which is awesome.
Hi, I have been driving around in mine on Eibach lowering springs for the last 2 months and it rides nicely. Slightly bumpier obviously but hardly noticeable. It's slightly more firm on mine as I'm running 225/40/R19's.
Handling is very much the same as before (good as standard). My reason for...
Certainly mate, Eibach Germany via eBay for £270 posted. Fronts were really easy to fit, I struggled more with the back with not being able to drop the whole axle down as I couldn't find any suitable places for axle stands at the rear.
Look forward to seeing your MG5! You've made a good start on part sourcing. Here's mine for comparison. 30/35mm lowered on 19" x 9.5" alloys, ET39. 225/40/R19 tyres, tinted windows, debadged and smaller plates.
Yeah I'll probably ring my local dealer tomorrow and see if they know or are willing to give me the answer. Pretty gutted tbh, got an Exclusive sat on the drive I've just bought to replace the Excite when it goes back, and now I'm just thinking "how long til that radio decides to give up" in...
Thanks for replying mate, glad yours is back working anyway, at least that's good news.
My reason for looking at 2nd hand units is I've currently got a 21 plate Excite that's on lease and is going back in 3 weeks so won't have time to go to the Dealers for a fix, but if I send it back with a...
Hi AndyX, as of today I've got the same problem. Did MG manage to repair your unit? I'm thinking of buying a 2nd hand unit, does anyway know if a new unit needs reprogramming once fitted?
