I have a 69 plate ZS EV Exclusive and my infotainment screen has been doing that since day 1. I have reported it on a number of occasions but it has not been fixed and it is still doing it although not as often as it was.
I've got a mk1 ZSEV Exclusive had it since December '19 19000 miles covered. The leather/vinyl trim on the outside of the drivers seat is peeling/ split. It just passed it's MOT last year. MOT cautionary, corroded brakes. Also at the service they reported a perished condenser. Range apppears to...
Well, that's 3 years with 17600 miles on the car and it just passed it's 1st MOT with Red immediate attention items as follows,
Front brake pads
Front brake disc corroded
Rear brake pads
Rear brake discs corroded
I assume the brake pads are because of the grooves worn around the discs. Not a...
I've got 16 solar panels, about 3.6kw output, and they can charge my 44.5kw ZS at approx 7mph from the Granny charger when the sun is strong and in the right position. But won't take type 2 7kw. Although the panels can run the house during the day in summer they don't do as well in dull winter...
Hi Sue,
You will find that if you turn the steering beyond a certain angle while cruise control is on the drive cuts out [even at low speeds]. For example if you come off of a roundabout and resume cruise control before you straighten the wheels the drive will cut out [restrict the speed] until...
Nothing wrong with the car. The garage bricked it doing the recall updates during the service. I reckon they've left the keys in the car during the update and it has decoded the keys
Just a quick update. I got my car back yesterday 10th February in the afternoon. It had just been fixed. Garage said they had to order a "master" key as mine had "lost" the code???. As a result the garage, Parks of Dreghorn, replaced both key batteries and did not charge me for the 2 year...
My 2 year old ZS EV with 15600 miles on it went in for it's second service and 3 recall software updates BMS and 2 small updates at 09:00 this morning. The garage, Parks MG in Dreghorn, Ayrshire phoned me at 17:00 to tell me the car will now not start. I asked for a replacement vehicle and they...
There does seem to be a problem using the app. I've had RFID card for 2 years now and it's always worked fine. I put my ZS on charge on Friday at my usual charge point. It worked fine. Went back to get the car 3+ hrs later, there was a car sitting next to mine plugged in but not charging my car...
I agree to a point but considering the brakes are hardly used because of the regen I think the rear discs are excessively worn for the mileage on the car. The front ones are fine. I had a Honda Accord for 12 years before my ZS and the discs were still good when I sold it.
Anyone else got badly scored rear discs? My 2019 ZS EV discs are very badly scored, I think it's the hand brake pressure that's caused it. I took it to the dealer and showed him the worn rear discs and said I reckoned it was an mot failure. He did not disagree but said MG would not change the...
I got my ZS in December '19. Still love the car. The screen kept going blank sometimes the radio still played other times silence and blank screen. I reported it to the dealer who checked it over and couldn't find anything wrong. I took it back to the dealer a few times for this, no faults...
Sorry, I meant the drive electrics cut out and the car freewheels 'til the revs/speed drops then it comes back on. I think this happens around 9000rpm which, if the speedo is correct is almost 90mph. You are correct in thinking that the motor is permanently connected.
8500 revs is heading towards maximum rpm of the motor/ top speed of the car, that's why it went red. If you keep your foot down a bit longer the drive cuts out and you'll freewheel 'til the revs drop back then the drive cuts in again. Probably not wise to take it up 'til it cuts out too often. I...
I personally have found that lifting off early using regen 1 and switching it into regen 2 as I approach the junction/roundabout, if I need it, makes for a smooth journey and also seems to give slightly better miles/kwhr
No but the Dealer who has a good reputation in thus area and I would trust more than most, said there were a couple of other spots on the front of the roof again they say stone chips. I suppose the result here is to keep an eye on the bodywork for chips.
Latest update. Got my car back today after a roof respray. The Dealer Brysons of Prestwick persuaded MG UK to pay 2/3 of the cost and the dealer paid the other 1/3. Not a bad result eventually. They are still saying it was an untreated stone chip. I am still not convinced.
